    Marquez looks old

    Good round 3, Esquivias connecting

  4. The Ripper

    The Ripper Leap-Amateur

Esquivias tagging Rafa alot now, Marquez slow on the counters

  5. The Ripper

    The Ripper Leap-Amateur

Esquivias looking really comfortable in there, throwing a lot of combos and not worried about the incoming from Rafa, I could see Nacho throwing in the towel unless he gets some momentum going if this keeps up

The know-how is still there, you can see him thinking of what he's going to do, knowing what he needs to do, but the reflexes needed to do what his mind knows to do just aren't there

Haha you landed some right hands yeah!:laugh11: fucking Rafa thought he won, lets see if he can tag him again

marquez had a great round 7. esquiavas landing hard rights in round 8. this is a good fight.

Yup Marquez looks done, he should've hooked up with Heredia like big brother did

I don't want to watch Marquez take head shots anymore. Hate this.

And that's that Esquivias drops him with a right and the ref stops it, what weight was this at?

Esquivias had his way most of the fight except for the first two rounds and the last bits of round 7, hope Rafa calls it a day

Always sad to watch a great old fighter get beaten down by a guy who wouldn't have carried his jock in his prime

Why are they even interviewing this other guy. He's shit. Marquez is shot.

    These bouts make me sick.

Didn't Vasquez stop him? and Juanma?

to quote larry merchant "when a marquez gets into a fight, it's a fight!"

gatti losing to alfonso gomez is the worst examples of this for me. in fact gomez beating castillo is up there as well.

Shit Id completely forgot Gomez fought and beat Castillo, I still havent seen Morales-Garcia II and probably wont

  23. Azazel

    Azazel "Twinkle Toes" McJack

lol, Gomez would alway's have give hell to Gatti. Very bad example

  24. Azazel

    Azazel "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Arreola should blow Mitchell out. Mayhem doesn't seems to react to punches very well and Chris, for all his limitations, can punch.

Calzaghe-Jones infuriated me just because Calzaghe was such a tool in victory, taunting and showboating over a bloodied, beaten shell of a fighter like he actually deserved to be celebrating after he hid in Europe during the years Jones would've handed him his backside.

Couldn't quite stomach the guy afterword.

  26. royyjonesjrp4pno1

    royyjonesjrp4pno1 "Twinkle Toes" McJack

he would have landed on gatti but gatti would have knocked gomez out. gomez was a gatekeeper, gatti is a level above that.

  27. cdogg187

    cdogg187 GLADYS

Gatti spent his life getting the shit kicked out of him left and right, Marquez was once a great champion... Still, I understand what you're saying... Just think the degree involved here is much higher

  28. Azazel

    Azazel "Twinkle Toes" McJack

agree, I'd expect a Gatti victory but a Gomez upset wouldn't be too shocking imo. This dude tonight (who, to his credit, fought a very good fight) would probably have been lit up by a prime Rafael in under 3

gatti wasn't a great fighter talentwise, he still would have joey gamache'd alfonso gomez though.

Yeah I see what you're saying, Morales would've always struggled with Garcia's size too his prime weight was almost 20 lbs lighter. Esquivias doesn't look like much, he's not even a puncher and he was rocking Rafas head all night
