In their HASTE to Make the Fight, Canelo's Management PUBLICLY Stated he'd "Even Fight Floyd @ a Catchweight"...Floyd's Peeps JUMPED on it...

After the Way Floyd INVENTED Reasons to NOT Face Pacquiao, it was Common Knowledge to Anybody Interested in Facing Him that there Could Be Demands...REED Can't Tell You WHY Canelo's People Put it Out There, but they Did...

Typically, there's a SOFTish Quality to Canelo's Weigh-In Body...Yesterday, he NEVER Looked More RIPPED...He WASN'T Agitated, Looked COMFORTABLE...Didn't Seem Put Out All that Much by Cutting an Extra 2 Pounds...He was UNDER the Limit for his Last Fight...He's Been UNDER the Limit for Other Fights...

    & He's Just 23 Years Old...

Ray Leonard was the King of Devising Contractual Stipulations, to FULLY Illustrate to his Potential Opponents Exactly WHO the Boss was...DeLa Followed in those Footsteps...Floyd's ALWAYS Been Somewhat ENVIOUS of DeLa, He Considers Himself TODAY's "Golden Boy" of Boxing & he's Being a PRICK in Negotiations just as his Predecessors Were...

Floyd Himself May Even BELIEVE he's Got Canelo @ a Disadvantage Here, but REED Doesn't Think the 2 Lbs Will Be a Factor...

I think 152 is the fairest weight this could have been at

If Floyd really wanted to face a drained Canelo, he would've asked a 150 lbs catchweight. That was more of a "I'm in command here" move to set the tone on the negotiations. No surprise Floyd's team managed to produce what could be the best payday of his career.

Is there a requirement for Canelo to weigh only up to a certain weight tonight?

As for Canelo making 152 it was no doubt tough for him. He's a true JR. MW. It's been a couple years since the Hatton fight and he actually missed weight for that fight as it was contracted 150. His stamina already sucks, drying out a bit more is even worse.

Yeah, "Like I said before" it wasn't just because I like Pacquiao that I didn't have a problem with his catchweights.

When facing a bigger guy, I think a slight equaliser is fair enough, making him burn off a couple more pounds than usual. I have no problem with this catchweight, and Canelo still looked fine at the weigh in.

That's pretty much what I think.

But as I said to Hut, I think a slight equaliser is fair enough when fighting a bigger foe.

When Guys STRUGGLE to Make Weight, they're Rarely as AMIABLE or RELAXED as Canelo was Yesterday...There's Typically an ALOOFness, an EDGINESS to a Guy STRUGGLING to Make Weight...

NOBODY Knows, 1 Way or the Other, if it was "Tough" for Canelo to Make 152 or Not...So Unless You're Prepared to PREDICT a Compromised Performance from Canelo, Based SOLELY on the Weight, WHY Harp on it HOURS Before the Opening Bell???...

Based on AGE & THE FACT Canelo's Come in UNDER the Limit in the Past (INCLUDING his Very Last Fight), REED is PREDICTING Weighing 152 WILL NOT Impact the Fight @ All...

Is about levels and Floyd is many levels above this cinnamon fool

If he is on level 2 Floyd is on Level 287 thousand

Floyd can come down 100 thousand levels and still be way above him in levels...

If you think about it...Floyd is lets say level 287 thousand
If he dropped 100 thousand levels he'd still be 185 thousand levels above this red headed cock sucker

Floyd will win because he is better but the fact is Alvarez hasn't come in at 152 or less in a couple of years and in that fight he missed his weight of 150. I think it's just common sense that 152 was a tough cut although with him being young he will rehydrate well.

So, do I have this straight, Canelo and his people, with no hinting or other pressure, offered to come in at a weight he has previously struggled to make, and that Canelo is also so happy clappy today that the weight clearly has not been an issue?

Yeah but Canelo is like a really really huge guy, it was only fair that a few pounds come off. Its like when Floyd fought Marquez, Marquez had all the advantages so it was only fair that Floyd was allowed come in heavy.

"Common Sense" Based on WHAT EXACTLY, Val???...

You're Spouting it like it's COMMONfuckingKNOWLEDGE that a 23 Year Old, who JUST Weighed 153 1/2 in his LAST Fight, Will STRUGGLE to Make 152...Is that WRITTEN Somewhere???...Are You SAYING Canelo will Be WORSE OFF Because of It???...

If Not, WHYtheFUCK are we Even Discussing It & WHY are you Taking it Upon Yourself to ASSume it was "Tough" for him to Cut Weight???...You DON'T Know...Neither Does REED...

So.....he can make 152 easily but cannot make 150? The one fight he has to come down from weights he is accustomed to making happens also to be his hardest fight. You are trying to play it down, I am trying to play it up. No harm there, per se, but you seem to be saying that Alvarez volunteered to make 152, with no input from Floyd, and that it will have NO bearing on the fight, and that the 152 thing is all just Floyd being like Oscar? Correct?

"The Devil, as they Say, is in the DETAIL"...

"STRUGGLING" to Make 152 ISN'T the Same as Making 152 "Easy", Homeslice...REED Never Suggested as Much...Yet YOU & Others are Suggesting he'll be DIMINISHED for Cutting Down to 152???...Again, Given Canelo's AGE & HISTORY, REED DISagrees w/that AND Even Predicted a VERY CLOSE Fight Tonight...

    What's YOUR Prediction???
