The Hopkins of the Tito fight would stop Canelo inside of 6 rounds, and it would be the one sided PPV fight in history.
I highly doubt Hopkins stops him that quickly. If the over/under was 6 rounds i'd throw a 100 bucks on the over without question.
I think he would. Hopkins had a lot more pop back then than his ancient ass has now. And while Hopkins was never a big puncher, he hit a HELLUVA lot harder than tiny Floyd. Hopkins wouldn't be able to miss Canelo, and B-Hop back then let his hands go a lot more, and was far more offensive mided. I don't think Ginger lasts very long at all with a prime Hopkins. He's just not that good at all, and I think his durability is being overrated.
Hopkins probably beats him up and knocks him out sometime around the 11th round, and then Canelo's dad rushes into the ring to save him. Wait what?
Ain't no way in Holy Hell Canelo's going 11. Hopkins had to be cautious of Tito's power, which is why he methodically broke him down prior to opening up. Canelo couldn't hurt Hopkins. He couldn't even hurt the corpse of Mosley. Hopkins would show Canelo NO RESPECT, because he wouldn't need to.
Hopkins fought methodically against the likes of Eastman and Taylor as well and neither had near Tito's power. Hopkins would beat him up for sure but it wouldn't be some kind of pillar to post ass whooping where Nard is on him every second of every round.
Pretty big difference between the Hopkins of 01 and the Hopkins of 05. Personally, I don't even think Tito was Hopkins' peak performance. The Glenn Johnson fight was IMO Hopkins at his true peak. I highly doubt Canelo lasts late with that Hopkins.
