Any sport that puts up with the PED bullshit runs the risk of alienating its best fans.

The best fans of any sport realize that PEDs destroy the integrity of the sport. Fans that will put up with PEDs are less likely to appreciate a sport, any sport, long term. That's my hypothesis, anyway.
