This is EXACTLY how REED Saw It...

Gustaffson Didn't DOMINATE or Anything, but he Still Won Round 1 Pretty CLEAR...He'd ALREADY Peppered Bones w/a Few Shots, CUT Him, THEN Took him Down...Jones, Being WHO he Is, Responded w/a Pretty CLEAR Round 2...

Round 3, is when Gustaffson SIGNALED to Jones (AND the Wooooorld) he was there to WIN...Round 4 was on the Brink of Being a DESPERATION Round for Jones...He Evened USED the Word "Desperation" when Discussing the Fight Afterwards...It Might've Been an UPPERCUT that Seemed to @ Least BUZZ Jones as Bad as we'd Ever Seen...Dude RETREATED & Everything...Right Side of his Face a MASK of Blood...Even REED Actually PONDERED the Idea of Bones Jones LOSING a Fight, Right Then & There...

THEN Came the Elbow, Jones' SIGNATURE Move, @ a Time when he Absolutely NEEDED it...From the Moment it Landed, the Rest of the Fight was ALL His...

    3-2 Bout, Undoubtedly...IMMEDIATE RE, Preferrably...

Watching the undercard last night...Stephen Thompson vs Chris Clements

Thompson is a stud kick boxer, but Clements had obviously studied him and it resulted in a video game-esque move in the first round.
Thompson did one of his kicks and Clements immediately dropped and did a spinning wheel kick that knocked Thompson down.

Can't find the highlight, but found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkoQ38eCh4Y
which is funny because it leads off saying it's not a move you see in competition.
Which is true, since I don't ever remember seeing anyone land it like Clements did before.

Looks like Jones wants to fight Glover next. It is supposed to take place on the UFC's Super Bowl weekend in New Jersey.

Damn TFK, you have the Super Bowl and a UFC card in Jersey the same weekend.

MILDLY Disappointing that he's Not Going for an IMMEDIATE RE...Still, the Cool Thing about UFC is The Good Fights Typically HAPPEN...Jones-Gustaffson II WILL Go Down @ Some Point...Hopefully in 2014...

It Obviously WON'T Occur, but it'd Be Cool as HELL if Jones-Gustaffson II Shared the Bill w/Silva-Weidman II...Dana Should Dedicate an ENTIRE Show to RE's, Some Day...

Living geographically smack dab in the middle of Giants Stadium and the Prudential Center, I'm pretty glad I'll be in Vegas that weekend.

    Yes it would be.

Is Dana ready to step up and make a mega-card? Probably no and arguably shouldn't, but if he did, Don King would be proud.

I thought Gustafsson won the first 3 rounds and was on his way to winning the 4th. Jones clearly won the 4th and 5th with the late comeback. The decision could have gone either way. I only really disagree with the judge who gave it to Jones 49-46.

I have more respect for both fighters now. Gustafsson is the first guy who stopped Jon's takedowns and outstruck him (for a while). Jones showed he has the heart of a champion with the come from behind win.

I would have enjoyed an immediate rematch, but it will probably happen anyway at some point. They're both young and still improving their skills. Gustafsson hasn't fought many top 10 light heavyweights yet. I'd love to see him fight Machida next. A fight between the best 2 strikers in the division (not counting Jones) would be fun. The rematch will happen soon if Gustafsson wins his next fight and Jones beats Teixiera.

My gut feeling is Dana wants to milk this for a minute. I wanted the immediate rematch too. I like the idea of Gus fighting Machida tho. Good fight and the winner should definitely get the next belt shot after Teixiera
