rios is tough as shit and has the same mentality as provodnikov and an amazing chin. i don't see rios getting burrie by provodnikov.
exactly He's not a guy you are going to go back and watch the tapes to marvel at his moves or his punch selection or whatever... but watching him live, he's the most fun because he's all-or-nothing
While he's not a technical marvel, he has great head movements when he uses it, and he's clever inside with how he turn opponents and set them up for a left hook.
Considering how shitty 135 is, the Baby Heff can actually make noise. He can probably still beat Wicky Burns.
For all you functional weight advantage fanatics. Alvarado out weighed Provo by basically 10 pounds in there, yet still got physically man handled and abused. Weight doesn't always equal strength.
True, but it also helps that Provo is a far harder puncher... Alvarado had to fight off the backfoot to have a chance to win and for a while it worked
It was mainly for Hut, specifically in reference to Canelo-Duran. Canelo's extra pounds on Duran would have mattered nada. Duran was just a stronger man the Ginger, and would have physically abused him.
I noticed this as well. A couple of times he stepped to the side and threw some vicious lead left hooks inside. I think it was the 4th or 5th round. It was so bad, that Alvarado had to switch to southpaw.
I'd love that one, too It'd be interesting to see if Danny can keep this guy off of him for 12 rounds I rate Danny a better fighter than Alvarado and he is certainly a more true "boxer"... He's got the skill and he seems quite able to take a shot
Garcia by UD. He's a MUCH better fighter than Alvarado, and Provo doesn't have quite the one-shot devastation that Lucas has.
This whole G-TR shit is so fuckin gay! If not for the promotional beef, what I'd REALLY love to see is Garcia vs Bradley, with Provo vs Matthysse on the undercard. How awesome would that be?
Juan Diaz looked pretty much done vs a made for order bum. Don't get me wrong, he won easily but he caught the guy clean so many time yet never managed to hurt him. It seems his power has not improved at all with age but nowaday, his intensity ain't as much as it used to. BTW, I kind of feel bad to call his oppoenent a bum because he gave a great effort and showed a lot of heart but that basically what he is.
Yeah, but Burns is pretty ordinary, and Burns himself might be done. It's not like I said Diaz could beat Crawford.
No doubt, he's like a mencap little violent Siberian farmer. He is an agricultural fighting machine. Gotta love a guy like that, he is hilarious to watch. I was really tired last night and wanted to go to sleep, but as soon as the fight started I had to stay up.
Provo vs Maidana prob will never happen, but I think it'd be the ugliest matchup in boxing history. Two flat faced, ugly sonuvabitches.
