It's odd you know. People believe Groves stands a great chance of beating Froch, but believe Froch smashes DeGale, yet DeGale had a very close fight with Groves.

What's this crap about Froch not dealing with fast fighter, cause he got beat by the p4p#3 (at worst) in a close fight ????

Or beacause he struggles with Dirrel, who was an excellent fighter at this point in his career.

    I don't get it

It wasn't close, Froch said himself the two 115-113 scorecards were wrong.

Froch has only really looked 'bad' in those fights where his opponent is markedly faster than him. Taylor gave him a beating for six rounds until his shitty stamina kicked in and Froch came back late in the fight. The same happened against Ward; Froch lost the first half of the fight 5-1 at best, then he came back strong late. Dirrell would have beaten him if he hadn't been a complete fucking coward.

That he doesn't deal well with speed is obvious to anyone with eyes.

I didn't think 7-5 cards were bad. Froch won the last four rounds clearly IMO - you only had to give him one more to make it 7-5 on the card. The scale of Ward's win was magnified by the fact that he won the first half of the fight very big and the UK commentators were so biased against Froch as to beggar belief.

I disagree, and bear in mind that I hate Ward and am a fan of Froch, I had it fairly wide for Ward. I'd have to be very generous to give him 5 rounds.

Agreed though that speed is clearly his bugbear.

Yeah, he sure looked bad against Pascal and Bute, two fighter who were way faster than him, and it was the speed of Johnson and Magee which made him look (relatively) bad.

Say something often enough and some will think it's the truth, even if theyr is no foundation to the statement

Pascal and Bute aren't especially fast though, in fact many people commented at the time how ordinary his speed was against Froch. Nobody said it was Frochs ONLY weakness either, did they Tarquin. It was simply pointed out that it was his most noticeable vulnerability.

I'd say good counter punchers are his problem rather than speed

    Tarquin ? I don't get it

Your whole argument is based on his fights with Ward and Dirrell, who are excellent fighters in addition to having speed. it's not like he struggles with any fighter who's speedy. He made Bute looked slow, cause he was able to neutralise his speed with his jab and pressure. He neutralise Pascal speed with his jab.

Both Pascal and Bute are faster than Groves
    Groves will get crusehd

What do you make of Froch's "arrogant" attitude?

This will start off with a battle of the jabs. I can see it now.

Groves is putting in those right hands with ease. Froch looks slower than usual.

groves's really negative, he only landed one good puch the whole round (tough it was a peach of a right hand) might give the round to Froch
