Provodnikov @ 147 ? GGG @ 154 ? Pacquiao @ 148 3/4 ? Bradley @ 147 ? or....... ........Amir Khan @ who cares...
If Pacquiao looks good against Rios than him for sure. Other than that GGG. I think Bradley deserves a Mayweather fight but would have no chance of winning.
Floyd is not going to fight GGG. He'll fight and beat Sergio Martinez, but won't ever be in the same ring as Gennady.
If golovkin kod martinez cotto and Alvarez then he'd legitimize himself financially but still be too big and too dangerous. Plus by then mayweather jr would be in his 40s
And this is what boxing has been reduced to. Functional weight advantages and people talking about "financial legitimization". Matthew Macklin would still be too good for a scrub like Alvarez. The fight should be made NOW, if Floyd is really serious about having a legacy that amounts to more than cherry picking since 135, not making the Pacquaio fight and dictating weights and financial terms to old men.
Boxing is an odd fish. For over a decade I have had the view that there is NO SUCH THING as an overpaid fighter. Fighters can ONLY be overpaid relative to their immediate opponents take of the kitty. Floyd Mayweather may be the first fighter to ever alter that opinion of mine.
Yeah, ultimately it is the guy in the ring taking the physical risk, so I think he should get whatever he can... still, I find it disconcerting that this guy seemed perfectly happy to say "fuck it, who cares?" to a match that would have been one of the biggest in history (same goes for the other guy) Part of me says "more power to him... if he can get paid, then go get paid" but another part says "some things are priceless"
