If it looks low budget (particularly her costume and spfx) it is because it is fan made. Still looks more badass than what a tv studio tried to do a couple of years ago.

Okay so she is in 1930's-40's Germany...then at around 1:50 she seems to be in LA...or some modern metropolis...

 

And she looks too butchy...IMO..

 

Dumb thread IMO. If it isn't a real movie it should have been posted in TFW. Yeah, I'm nitpicking but so what.

Oh and just for the record, I didn't watch the phony trailer.

 

Warner Bros (which owns DC Comics) is developing a tv series titled 'Amazon" for its CW channel. The premise is a pre-Wonder Woman Diana in Paradise island, sort of like what they did with Smallville tv series. Update:

Actress Jamie Alexander recently hinted that Wonder Woman might be showing up soon probably in the Batman Vs Superman film. People reading between the lines think she will be playing the role and that could be great IF Marvel allows her to do that since she is tied to the Marvel Thor franchise as the character Sif which in the comicbooks becomes the true love of Thor (sorry Natalie Portman/Jane Foster) and a bigger character in the process. If allowed she could be the perfect choice...if she gains a few more pounds!

Now other report came out that it might be instead Olga Kurylenko, who we saw last in 'Oblivion', the one who could be playing Wonder Woman. While she is a fine actress and a beautiful woman, this gal has no curves even if she eats a lot. I prefer Jaimie Alexander.

 

Why? Along with Batman & Superman, Wonder Woman has been the most enduring, recognizable character in the DC Universe. Fans call them the Trinity. This is the right next step to a Justice League movie.

Let's be honest, all superhero movies are pretty retarded. But if they can make movies for Green Lantern, Thor, Fantastic 4, etc, they can certainly make one for Wonder Woman.

Same could be applied to Superman. Has a stupid name and does not relate to this date and age. But was treated properly and it works. Same for WW. Done right it can work.

I'll take that you are no fan of WW, but the fact that her comicbooks, cartoons, tv shows, image, etc. has remained mainstream since the 1940's says a lot about the appeal of this character. Like I said, given the proper treatment a WW film could be very successful. Look at Ironman. That Marvel character was practically unknown to the mainstream audiences. H wasn't as known as Hulk, Spiderman or Captain America. But the first film respected its source and made the character appealing thanks mainly to the right actor, Robert Downey Jr in the career comeback of the decade. If a WW film can get the right treatment with the right actress, it could be awesome.

 

Geez. Anthony, on what planet you live? For a character that hasn't had a movie done yet and its last live action tv series was in the 70's, her image is everywhere! Bestseller female superhero costume on Halloween, cover of teens notebooks and folders, featured prominently in Justice League cartoon tv series, had her own origins cartoon movie (a very good one if you bother to watch it), is constantly the source of independent fan short films (check youtube), is constantly parodied in comedy sketches, there are girl pajamas, underwear, bed linen, towels, posters, etc with her image, graphic novels and monthly comic books. Before the Ironman movie came you could have ask random people in the street if they knew that character and only the comic book geeks would have responded yes. Go ask a random bunch of people if they know who is Wonder Woman...everybody knows. That character is entangled in the fabric of our culture.

 

That Jaimie Alexander is hot as hell. Damn!

 

Ok genius, so whose character is the top female superhero costume?

 

I agree certain elements of Wonder Woman are dumb (truth forcing lasso, invisible airplane, bullet deflecting bracelets). However if they can do the whole Thor come to life from Asgard I don't see why they can't do the same with WW being from Paradise Island. They just need to lose the lasso and the plane and have her not deflect bullets. Also I agree, who wants female superheroes, but the fact is if they're going to do a Justice League movie they can't omit her because she's too high profile of a member, it would look sexist and you lose the female fan base not to mention all the pervs who go watch movies because of some hot half dressed female in it. Besides we have to put up with the Black Widow in all of the Avengers movies so let the DC fans suffer too.

 

And I'm not saying that they will. I don't want to see a WW movie either, in fact I can't think of one superheroine movie I would want to see other than maybe She-Hulk. Alls I'm saying is WW does need to be in the Justice League movie.
