It's hard to believe, but I think this current version of wald pussy really does have the edge over Ruiz on pure, unadulterated, relentless hugging.
Any time a guy comes forward against him Wlad's about as bad as Ruiz at his worst now, maybe even a bit worse. About 3-4 clinches a minute. Wlad has the odd fight where a guy doesn't come to him where clinching gets replaced by posing.
Don't forget Henry Akinwande. They nicknamed him the Octopus for fuck's sakes. Thing is David Tua and Corrie Sanders respectively are responsible for Ruiz and Wlad altering their styles. Ruiz was never supposed to be an elite fighter. Wlad is. Never in the history of the sport has a supposed "great" fighter clinched as much, and fought with the level of pussy-dom as Wlad. Ruiz was a fringe contender/belt holder with VERY limited tools and talent, so who gives a shit if he hugged like a bitch? Wlad's groupies consider him a top 10 all time heavy, so it matters that he's a hugging puta. It's a disgrace that a 6'7 heavy with the natural power/tools that Wlad has, fights like such a wuss. This is why I voted for Ruiz. I can't remember what Wlad actually fights like. Ruiz tended to jab his way into a clinch every time he threw a punch.
