Ward should give this guy the beating of a lifetime even if he is rusty.

See Ward has gone back to his D level Roy Jones imitation style.....is he trying to make Rodriguez his Gonzalez?

Rodriguez landed a few shots there. But he's still getting beat.

Ward's is controlling Rodriguez with the jab. He's landing some good power shots but Rodriguez is still there.

Rodriguez took some shots but Ward isn't a huge puncher. Nonetheless, Ward just outclassed him.

    Ward isn't a draw and I don't think he'll ever be that.

But he's still the best fighter in the world pound 4 pound right now.

For me that's all that really counts.

He's no worse than watching Mayweather fight. At least he's out there trying to hurt the guy.

Ward is certainly more offensively minded than Floyd is. I suggest re-watching Floyd vs. Baldomir then come back and discuss Ward's fights. Andre's certainly faced better competition over the past few years than Floyd has. That's not even open for debate.

Perhaps if Ward behaved as ignorant as Floyd or Adrien Broner he'd have more fans.

He's way worse than watching Mayweather fight... Bringing up a boring Mayweather fight from quite a long time ago seems like grasping for straws

Ward is good and has fought stiffer comp in recent years than Floyd has, but he's not more aesthetically pleasing

So you're saying last nights fight was worse than Floyd vs Canelo, Guerrero, Marquez, Mosley? Let me quickly summarize those...jab, jab...right hand, slip, walk away...wash, rinse, repeat.

We'll just agree to disagree. I don't have a problem with Ward's fights. Last night the holding wasn't all his fault. Rodriguez initiated it. Secondly, I can't see how anyone couldn't appreciate how he dismantled Dawson and soundly beat Froch. Those are his last three fights...all better than the four Mayweather fights I just mentioned.

How's that for recent fights CKitten?

Ward is good but there's too many clinches in the majority of his fights. His jab and left hook looked good vs Rodriguez though.

It was absolutely worse, although I do agree he has faced the better competition recently. Floyd is just far better to watch, I have no horses in this race either so I'm just calling it as I see it.

I do , HBO shows a lot worse and as a guy that watches just about every fight out there I dont mind Ward. You flew to see him fight, you must have liked watching him what happened?

Muzse is on point Ward is no worse then a PBF bout and it aint PPV , win win

Ward got smart and stopped trying to be RJJ ( like he was against Boone ) and became BHop Jr, he saw which style had longer results

if you enjoy wards fights more than mayweather jrs then so be it. i dont enjoy wards style. i went to the dawson fight because i thought dawson would present problems that could either A) make it an interesting tactical fight or B) get ward out of his normal routine. was wrong and ward took him a part but i didnt enjoy the fight at all and will never go see ward fight ever again.
