The easy answer would be either Eddie Alvarez or Michael Chandler, but I would suggest that it might be Alexander Shlemenko, Bellator's MW Champion. He's on a relatively impressive run in Bellator and just successfully defended his title last night by blasting out Doug Marshall with a pair of rib roasters that would make Harl Kegman proud.
No way. That cheating fag doesn't deserve to be in the UFC. They already have enough cheating fags there.
I wouldn't argue Askren except I think he actually deserved the loss against Jay Hieron. And Hieron has looked average in the UFC. The close win over Hieron is the exact reason why Dana White indicated he isn't interested in Askren. It's probably more posturing by White, but it's a legit point.
i think he's a better fighter now than he was when he fought hieron. i actually don't like askren and usually root against him, but he's very tough to escape from when he puts you on your back. he's a free agent now, but who knows if white will sign him or not. it's funny because askren was exciting to watch when he wrestled, but his mma fights are not watchable. i'm curious to see how he'd do against maia or shields.
He's top control is more fun to watch than some guys like GSP or Shields because he is unorthodox with his guard passing. But his boxing makes Shields look like Ali
