Just another remake of 'The Last Days of Pompeii' only that this one has better special effects.

Yup, but in comparison with all the previous versions (1913, 1959 & 1984) this one looks epic. :egypt:

Well they are just following the same storyline from the previous versions of 'The Last Days of Pompeii'. Of all the different stories and people's that they could tell, why keep repeating the same love story of the gladiator? Just tells you how lazy and unoriginal Hollywood is.

Looks watchable. That Jon Snow guy is a decent actor unlike Orlando Bloom.

Orlando Bloom is decent whenever he wears a golden wig and elf ears.

I think he is a pretty good actor actually. I liked him in all the Pirates movies and LOTR movies. But i especially liked him in Kingdom of Heaven and Elizabethtown.

I agree with you completely here, except for the Elizabethtown part and only because I never saw it.

I was bored by 'Elizabethtown'. After 30 minutes I changed the channel.

Yeah and I'll bet that was the writers fault not OB's.

Pompeii (2014) the newest version of the familiar theme combines movie genres of gladiators, slavery, disaster epic and Titanic-like romance with mixed results. Kit Harington aka Jon Snow from GOT plays the revenge thirsty gladiator who somehow becomes the true love of the beautiful daughter of the Patricians who rule Pompeii. The girl (Emily Browning) also somehow happens to be the object of desire of Roman General Keiffer Sutherland who also happen to be one who murdered Jon Snow's family. All this is just filler. We are watching this turkey solely for the action scenes which are quite good and the big disaster climax which ranges from very cool to downright ridiculous. Like another movie gladiator once asked, 'Are you not entertained??!' Well, I was to some degree. Nothing special, but watchable film. 6.5/10
