REED's Digging the Word "Emeritus" & Feels it Should Be Used More Often... Cupey Could Be "OWNER Emeritus"...Joe Rein "EDITOR Emeritus"...Jake, Donnybrook, Dubblechin & Others Could Be "Esteemed Poster Emeritus".... "Early Doors", "Fit Bird", "Miserable Git" & Now "Emeritus"... Yep... REED:kidcool:
But on a serious note, this is great news. I was waiting years for these fucking Klitschkos to go away.I hope Wlad follows suit soon, I'd much rather have the title change every week in exciting fights then have that 8 foot tall pussy hold and cuddle for 12 rounds.
Yep, and he wants the WBC title too :wack: They should create a super-six style heavyweight tournament if possible, I'd like to see the likes of Fury, Wilder, Arreola, Stiverne, Pulev and Mike Perez of Corcaigh enter it, with the two finalists squaring off for the WBC strap.
it's disgusting how Vitaly made Stiverne lose a year, if not more, of his career. For someone considered a good guy in the sport, he sure doesn't seem to care about his fellow fighters.
BTW, this will only make the division better as the K bros won't be able to pick and chose wich guy they fight and also, the top contenders will have more incentive to fight each other as they will be one money man in the division instead of two.
Of course, Lennox and Ali did pretty much the same when they ended their careers. Also Holmes avoided his best contenders for the last years
Vitali doesn't have an obligation to look out for Stiverne. That's Stiverne and the WBC's responsibility. The WBC is the fucking him now by requiring him to fight Arreola for the vacant championship. Stiverne fought Arreola in April 2013 for the WBC Silver title. The WBC Silver title is what they call their interim title. An interim world titlist is automatically elevated to the sanctioning body's world titlist designation if the current champion is stripped or relinques his claim. Well, now that I review the WBC rules, they don't designate the Silver belt as the equivalent of an interim belt, although the concept is similar. They basically just designate it as a lesser world title belt than the World title and the Diamond title. I'm pretty sure that I remember it being an interim belt, but whatever. The WBC gives itself the right to elevate Stiverne to world championship status or make him fight again. They are choosing to make him fight again. Against a guy he just clearly beat. So they are fucking him, just not in the way I thought at first.
I never really care who is fighting to be perfectly honest. The WBC title is on the line!? Now you have my attention.
Vitali said he probably would not fight anymore. This leaves him as a champion for life and the way he fought he deserves it.
Vilati to the president - 'Stand down. Don't go the way of Ceausescu & Gadaffi!'.:jaw: I must break you. If you die, you die.
