He has to purge himself of contempt, so good decision to REE Maidana.

Didn't see anything in the first fight to give him much basis for optimism. Unless he can improve training camp enough to throw about 5x as many punches.

Maidana is much improved under Garcia vs the guy who fought Ortiz and Khan, he'll smash 'im ooop again.

A fighter should almost always take an extremely easy fight after his first loss. The exceptions do not apply in this situation.

Along w/the Fight & his "0", Broner Lost a Bit of HIMSELF that Night...He Could TAPDANCE Around the Issue, PRETEND it Never Happened & Fight Other Guys, but @ SOME Point, he Would Have to Purge His MIND of Marcos Maidana, as You've Stated...

May Not Be the WISEST Decision for Broner's Career, but it Reveals ALOT about his HEART, as Did the Fight Itself...

Both guys deserve props for taking this. I would have liked to see Maidana get a nice pay day elsewhere first.

This isn't finalised yet though. Maidana and his team are weighing up their options, but I feel this would be a good move for Maidana due to the $$$ involved.

Other than Floyd, a RE w/Broner is the BIGGEST Fight Maidana Could Take, @ the Moment...

Whatever the Split was for the 1st Fight, REVERSE it, in Maidana's Favor & He Should Make a Pretty Penny...

And though Maidana beat Broner like he stole his favorite futbol jersey........I think a rematch could be a very different fight....

    It COULD Be...

Broner's Gotta Figure Out How to CONTROL the Distance Though, Whether it Be CIRCLING or an Actual Investment in JABBING...He's Gotta TONE DOWN the Out of the Ring Bullshit Too, Obviously...

But You're Right, the RE Is NOT a Foregone Conclusion...Broner CAN Redeem Himself...

I doubt he gets that high of a split. He's still viable even if he loses the rematch though.

Maybe, maybe not but he should still push for it. Maidana can still make good money with other opponents while Broner needs this rematch more than him.

Brother Reed I think you are more street wise than to buy into this "heart" argument! bronner looked scared and lost in that fight, he was looking for a way out! that is not the actions of a man with heart. The question is why he would take the second fight and I think it is because he sees himself as still being the champ. Now that means in his estimation if he avoids Madianna, maybe has a few good rounds, he will get his hand raised again.

I doubt he even tries to engage Madianna this fight. I still think he is deluded but I ahve no faith in the judges and if this goes the distance....LOOK OUT! anything is possible unless Madianna decapitates Bronner in the ring.

Broner MILKED the Headbutt in Round 8 for Sure, but Other than that, he TOOK his Asswhipping like a Man...AND he Fought Aggressively in the 12th Round...If he REALLY Wanted Out he Could've Easily Remained on the Canvas on Either of his 2 Trips There...

It'll be interesting to see how the rematch plays out. I give him credit for wanting the rematch. It reminds me of Jermain Taylor and how he wanted Pavlik in an immediate rematch.

He needs a confidence building 'gimmie fight' before he gets sodomized again.

It would only be interesting if Bronner finds a way to engage Madianna. I actually looked at Barry Robinson's analysis of the fight tape and had to laugh....Talk about a difference of opinion. After hearing his perspective and people who say he stood in against Maidanna its not what I saw at all. He could not keep the integrity of the pocket enough to roll Madianna's punches so he twisted away and when he went back he went straight back with no angle to cut the distance. When he occasionally made a stand he then was on his bicycle again.

I can't see how Bronner will do anything different this fight but we shall see! I thnk Madiane cracked this kid psychologically.

I don't get how everyone talks like Bronner was absolute shit in that fight. Sure he didn't turn out to be the fighter he portrayed himself to be but try to look at this without the Bronner hype glasses on. There were times in that fight where Bronner did look like the guy he was portraying himself to be, and times in that fight where it looked like he was close to taking Maidana out. I'm not saying he'll win the next fight or that he'll be great but I think people are selling the guy shorter than what he displayed in that fight simply because of the hyped up level he was supposed to be at. The fight was actually a lot closer than people are saying, the big difference was the knockdowns and the first 2 or 3 rds. I'm not a Bronner fan or apologist it's just people seem to be going overboard with how bad he lost IMO.

Well, Broner might have been given a beating, but Taylor got KO'd by Pav in brutal fashion.

I can see Broner winning a rematch. I'm not sure if Maidana will be as "up" in the rematch as he was the first time, and Broner will be more focused/motivated. It's no gimme though. Chino could very well beat his ass again. I'm definitely excited for the rematch though. It's gonna be one of the most compelling rematches of the last 1-2 years.

I though it was pretty one-sided, 8-4 or 9-3 with an extra point for the knockdown (obviously the other KD cancelled out by the point deduction). It's rare you see a guy overturn that type of defeat in a rematch. I don't think he'll do it as he's shite.

Maidana is inconsistent, so it's possible he won't be the same version in the rematch. Maidana was sooooo motivated to beat Broner's ass in Dec. It's possible he won't have that level of motivated in the rematch.

He's got to throw at least 3 times more jabs and twice as many punches generally. I can't see it.

People were Straight Up GIDDY After Broner Lost, Weren't They???...

Dude MUST have Set a Record for MOCKING Post-Fight Tweets, Gifs & Facebook Posts...Broner's Loss Wasn't just Boxing News, it was SPORTS News...REED "Gets" It; Broner's VERY Easy to Dislike & he's BORROWING Schtick, but the Thing is, it's WORKING...

Like it or Not, Dude was on the Precipice of STARDOM...Like it or Not, he's STILL There...This RE will Determine the REST of Broner's Career...Broner Haters Want to BURY him After this Loss, but it AIN'T that Easy...

As You Alluded to, Broner DID Have Some Moments vs. Maidana...It's NOT as if he Took a Pillar to Post, 12 Round AssRaping...It was a Clear, Convincing Loss but Certainly NOT Irreversible...
