Over 15 rounds, I think Palomino catches up on the cards and wins... He was a great late rounds fighter whereas Oscar tended to slow down in the later portions of 12 round fights, never mind an extra three rounds... Palomino for sure over 15 Over 12, I think Oscar might have enough early rounds in the bank to sweat out a decision... I think his big advantage in speed, his good jab and his legs will see him off to a great start and Palomino would have to respect the Hook...
He'd have to respect Oscar's hook, yet you'd pick him over Tito? Oscar's style meshes better for Carlos than Tito's would. He'd have a chance of wearing Oscar down late. Whereas Tito just had too much firepower for him.
Oscar knows how to box, has a great jab and doesn't set his feet in concrete before throwing a wide left hook Oscar is superior to Trinidad... He proved it by beating him even while giving away three rounds...
Styles make fights. Palomino was better at handling boxers than Tito was. For example, Benitez would white wash Tito. But head-to-head, the styles favor Tito over Palomino. You give Palomino a bit too much credit. He was hurt by, and given a tough fight by Dave Boy Green.
Dave Green didn't fight anything like Trinidad Trinidad was given a tough fight by Oba Carr, if that's your criteria I still don't see how anything about how the style matchup is favorable to Trinidad, unless you can find me an example of Palomino standing still in front of his opponent with his chin in the air
Bigger puncher, better handspeed, better offensive arsenal, comparable stamina, and probably even defensively more sound. Tito's ability to block, and parry was actually above average. Tito's problem was handling SPEED, not guys like Palomino.
