I dunno how prime Foreman would deal with guys he wasn't bigger and stronger than. Not saying he'd lose, just saying it's an unknown factor.

I could see Razor hurting George, possibly even sending him to the canvas....... can't see him winning though. In the end Foreman clubs him to the floor. Foreman TKO 6.

This is true, and it's a good point. However, in all likelihood Foreman wins, since Ruddock wasn't a very good boxer, was a bit chinny and loaded his big punches too much

I dunno that left came pretty quick and at various angles. He'd definitely land with it.

Foreman's jab would, IMO, create a lot of openings for him on Ruddock... I agree Ruddock lands some and probably buzzes George pretty good, maybe even floors him, but I don't like Ruddock's chances of absorbing the incoming from Foreman... George gets him out of there eventually

    Foreman Wins...

Ruddock had Size for Sure & he Could Obviously PUNCH, but he WASN'T Necessarily a "Physical" Fighter...Whereas Foreman Would 2-Hand SHOVE Opponents, HURL his Massive Shoulders Into Them, LEAN on them, etc...Foreman was PHYSICAL & Quite Possibly The STRONGEST Fighter of All Times...There'd Be a Period of Adjustment for BOTH, but REED Thinks Foreman Would COPE w/Facing Another Big Man, Better than Ruddock Would...

"Definitely", and it must be remembered that Foreman at 6'3 and 225 lbs or so was not a big guy compared to Ruddock's era. Still, he seems like the more powerful guy of the two, even if he was mainly destroying smaller guys

Exactly why size is liable to be such an issue. When you're 15lb lighter rather than 15-25lb heavier than the other guy none of that stuff works the same way.

it does when you are freakishly strong... Ken Norton was the same size as George was... Ron Lyle was right there as well...

In THEORY you're Spot On, Brother Hut...REED just Doesn't Think Ruddock was PHYSICAL Enough, Even as a BIGGER Guy than Foreman's Accustomed to, to Trouble Foreman Enough to BEAT him...Tyson Forced Ruddock Backwards Virtually All Fight Looooooooooong, but he's NOWHERE Near as BIG or STRONG as Foreman was...

Yep. Just because fighters are around the same height and weight doesn't mean they are the same in strength or being physical. I can see Foreman moving Ruddock back for as long as the fight lasts. Ruddock will probably land some good shots, but Foreman gets him out of there with 5 or 6 rounds.

On a related note...anyone remember Kid D picking Tyrell Biggs over Foreman because he was "bigger and more athletic"? That was in my sig for years. [IMG]

I think I might be overrating Ruddock, but I would actually pick him in this fight.

Ruddock would have a better shot vs Jimmie young but I'd still pick young to tear him a new cornhole then piss in Ruddock Buddock unconscious lips

Ruddock is one of my favorite B level fighters, but yes you are overrating him if you think he can beat Foreman. It would be a very entertaining fight though.

There's Been Quite a Few Messageboard DIPSHITS Over the Years, but Kid D was Among the Worst:lol:...

By his OWN Admission, he'd Only Started Watching Boxing just Over a YEAR Prior to Producing a LITTANY of Assinine Opinions, Including Biggs Over Foreman...& He Wouldn't just Throw Shit Out There for Shits & Giggles, Dude Would Engage in PAGES Loooooooooooong Debates Over his Thoughts...

No doubt... I remember arguing with him about somebody, something to do with Simon Brown and he kept bringing up "Sullivan" as one of Brown's best victories... I kept asking him who that was, since I didn't see anybody on his ledger with the name Sullivan... He kept dodging it, and I kept asking him to tell me about this Sullivan... Eventually he admitted that he had misread Shawn O'Sullivan's name, saw that he was 11-0 at the time and just assumed he was a good pro:lol:

Some of my favorite memories of Kid D

There was the quote of: "Foreman was just a smaller, less-conditioned and less-tough version of Bonecrusher Smith". He also said (and dared me to quote it) that Ali was a better moving version of John Ruiz and picked Tyson over Ali in two rounds

Also, picking Tyrell Biggs over Foreman and Michael Spinks over prime Lennox at heavyweight were among his classics. And he didn't just throw the stuff out, but as REED said, spent pages defending his takes. Also he claimed that Mike Tyson won every round against Ruddock in the rematch and even though I showed him the scorecards and gave him my r-b-r, his counter argument was that I hadn't seen the fight.

Kid D also claimed dead seriously that Terry Norris beat a better version of Sugar Ray Leonard than Marvin Hagler faced, since Leonard had been more active and was thus sharper. He also picked Norris over Hagler "if they were the same size".

Also Kid's exit from the board was a classic. After Tyson got beaten by Williams, he disappeared for a long time. Then he came back proclaiming that Williams was the future of heavyweight division and with his 260 lbs of solid muscle would be too much for anyone to handle. Then after Vitali beat Williams, Dr Dynamite lost his mind and spammed the forum full of topics which praised Chris Byrd, making a big deal out of him KOing Vitali after an even fight, as he described it, and claiming that in the land of blinds Chis Byrd was the king. This lead to Jake banning him. A bit later, as Tyson made his comeback against McBride, Dynamite returned to vow how Tyson was back and how he was now facing a white version of Lennox Lewis. After the fight, he never returned again.

 This guy sounds awesome. Too bad I wasn't here back then.. He must've never made it over to maxboxing. We had qwerty, the watermelon guy, and a few other classics there, though (until the board got ruined)
