This one was also in my sig for quite a while.:: He also hyped up Tyson's KO of Spinks as "A first round KO of one of the most durable heavies in history" since Spinks had never been stopped at heavy. And while picking Greg Page over Kenny Norton, he offered up that Page was "bigger" (actually "fatter" as they were the same height but Norton was in great shape and Page weighed more due to his being out of shape most of the time) and that Page KOed Scott LeDoux while Norton only fought him to a draw...of course ignoring (or just not knowing) when those fights took place in the fighters' respective careers. He also picked Eddie Mustafa Muhammed to beat the Gerry Cooney of the Holmes fight even though Eddie looked like complete dogshit in his brief attempt to move up to heavy.
You had a great Kid D spoof post back in the day that is still probably my favorite post from this site. I remember something to the effect of "Karl Mildenberger once threw a punch that made Ali back up a step, Imagine what Tyson would do to him."
Ah...just like Luis Primera. I remember you responding to any topic he started (on any subject) with "WHO IS SULLIVAN"?? for quite some time. it was pretty funny.
Spinks over LL is the best of all time. He would try everything to hype up all of Tyson's opponents to an outragrous degree.
he was actually a pretty nice kid offsite... I traded with him a couple of times and he threw Tyson/Spinks on to one of the tapes he sent me as a little joke::
I think you started the thread about Spinks vs Lewis and he took it seriously :giggle: It was pathological, really. He praised anyone that could be somehow related to Tyson. He picked for example Dwight Qawi by KO over Archie Moore and Bob Foster, obviously to hype Spinks, so that Tyson's win over Spinks would be even greater. He praised pretty much all the heavyweights of the 80s, apart from Witherspoon to whom he gave no credit, and interestingly enough bashed both Holyfield and Lewis so that their victories over Tyson would only prove how shot Tyson was. He did defend his takes with examples of single fights or even single moments of fights (the Mildenberger example wasn't even that much exaggerated). His other favorites behind Tyson and all of his opponents were Duran and Norris
I remember some of us trolling him in this forum with such matchups as Joe Louis vs Hector Mercedes and Joe Frazier vs Mitch Green (among others) :l3:
He also like to use "percentages" of fighters as "facts" to prove his various theories. Like Tyson at a certain time was 75% of his "prime" would KO 85% of Prime Holmes.
He asked for some time at the Large Hadron Collider to prove his theories but for some reason is consistently turned away.
REED Isn't Even Sure what That Shit Means::... If Tyson KO's 85% of Holmes, What Happens to the Other 15%???.... REED:scared:
Prime Foreman fucks him up. Foreman would probably beat him in 1991 as well, although he would get his face lumped in the process.
I agree 100% about 91. I think Ruddock puts real hurt on old man George in 91. Obviously, 73-74 Foreman blasts Ruddock.
Prime Foreman could only be defeated by a slick boxer with a perfect plan (like Ali). Ruddock is not that kind of boxer, therefore Foreman via KO within 4 rounds.
