Burns is one of those guys that looks kind of average at best but performs better than he should. Not much speed, not much power, not much skill, not a big workrate, not great defense - yet somehow he's more effective than he should be.

 

From what little I have seen, Crawford has touched Burns more often than Burns has touched Crawford. Crawford is the latest in a line of "Fighters" who are clones of bigger-name, better fighters.

 

Agreed. He's basically a somewhat-stiff, rudimentary guy who is in love with his non-existent chin and his somewhat intangible one-punch power.

Anyone think much of Crawford?

He's a negative creep but I was quite impressed by how he adapted after the first by turning southpaw. Took the jab away from Burns totally, and thats basically all he's got. Looks like he might have a decent boxing brain.

 

I like it, a round by round that cuts straight to the result without actually mentioning the result, and involves deceptive, crypto-scoring throughout. This could be a new trend.
