well it sold 60,000 tickets in an hour and I think more will be going on sale. Pay per view sales will be immense too, although I hope the rumour of paying £29.99 rather than the usual £14.99 PPV price is just that; a rumour.

I seriously think Froch could get sparked out. His chin's surely softened up that bit more now, especially after Groves landed about 10,000 right hands on the button the first time round. I think Froch may look to start fast this time and smother Groves' work. If Froch gives Groves space and time that'll suit Groves down to the ground. Groves' advantages in hand speed, reflexes and timing were clear to see in the first fight. I still think the stoppage was bullshit.

Groves predicts three-round rout of Froch in echo of brutal Hagler-Hearns thriller
George Groves plans to stir memories of one of the most revered fights in boxing folklore when he takes on Carl Froch at Wembley in May.
As 60,000 tickets were sold within an hour on Monday, Groves plotted a three-round destruction of his bitter rival - in a similar vein to Marvin Hagler's destructive eight-minute win over Thomas Hearns 29 years ago.
On that night at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, a semi-conscious Hearns was carried back to his corner as a blood-soaked Hagler celebrated his status as the best middleweight in the world.
And Groves has predicted a similar outcome in the most eagerly-awaited British fight in years.
'This is a three-round fight,' he said. 'This is Hagler-Hearns. I know I can hurt Carl Froch; he knows I can hurt him.
'I've got faster hands than him, he knows I can land on him and I've got better feet than him. He's got no chance of winning.
'If he wants to come out cautiously, I'll cut him down and I'll chop him down.
'If he wants to come out fast, he'll have to throw punches and I'm going to make him pay for that because he's going to leave gaps and openings

Kovalev is one of my (and everyone else's) favorite fighters right now, but it is easy enough to imagine Froch not being intimidated, taking Kov's shots, and just out-manning him in the ring. Otoh, maybe Froch comes up with something else. Kovalev, for all of his melting power, reminds me of McClellan in the sense that when he's not blasting guys out, he seems a bit vulnerable to getting outboxed.

One of the biggest can't-miss fights of recent years, imo, was Froch/Abraham. I didn't think there was any way that that fight wasn't going to be a war. Not only did Froch see it a different way, he did it a different way.

The first fight was a very very good fight and it's a genuine grudge match, every boxing fan should want to see this.

I think the matchup is good, but I don't know that I'd agree that Wembley is the most famous stadium in the world

i think it'd definitely be the most famous. "Wembley is the cathedral of football. It is the capital of football and it is the heart of football" - Pele.

Pele talks a lot of shit though. I think Wembley, Maracana, and Yankee Stadium are the three most famous stadiums.
