Cyborg gets her ass handed to her in a Muy Thai Fight

she didn't got her ass handed to her, it was a close fight. She lost because Weeks blew the kd call in the 5th round (it wasn't a kd), yet didn't called one when she put the other girl down (not 100% clean, bur fare more convincing than the one Weeks called against her). Still, overall, she definitively got the worst of it.

But, from what I read, her opponent is a killer in woman muay thai, so that she lost a close great battle to her is a plus, not a minus. If Ronda had the same no fear attitude has Cyborg, we would have already seen them fight instead of a rerun of a mismatch.

 

Weeks was really awful. Apart from the last round fucked, up, he missed two kd in the 3rd. One against Cyborg, and one for her.

 

Round 1: Cyborg gets lit up and dropped twice.
Round 2: Cyborg did better but got outlanded. She muscled Baars around, but the other girl landed more strikes and better ones.
Round 3: Cyborg dropped with a knee to the face. Weeks blows the KD. Cyborg lands more and harder.
Round 4: Baars loses her first real round of the fight. Cyborg throws her just about everywhere, which doesn't count, and outlands her solidly, which does.
Round 5: When a kick to the head not a knockdown? When Tony Weeks is the referee. Baars leaned back and caught Cyborg coming in. A kick to the head is landed---a knockdown should be scored. Yes, Cyborg was off-balance, but when it lands, it lands. Flash knockdowns are still knockdowns. Then another knockdown by Baars---this time from a kick to the body. Cyborg pushed Baars off balance and put her down---watch it again if you have a doubt and you'll see it is a push.

Baars won that handily. She didn't hand Cyborg her ass the whole fight, but she did in that first round. Cyborg reminded me of Zab Judah after that second knockdown of the first round when he did that stutter dance against Tszyu that got him stopped by Jay Nady.

that was a fun fight. cyborg was clearly outboxed/kicked, but she was still pressing the attack and landed some cool superman punches. cyborg would destroy her in an mma fight tho.
