That is Bradley's only chance Other than that, he'll be driving an armored car in Armonk by Arbor Day within a fortnight of Joey pounding the stuffing out of him
"If you folks had an existence beyond your keyboards and actually boxed a day in your homosexual lives, you'd have seen an epic sparring session between two very good friends of mine, Joey Napoles and Steven DeJesus. I was just talking about it the other day with my pal Mike Rossman. I may reveal what happened at some point, but unfortunately I'm a busy man with things to do." - Rob Roaster
I can't find it anywhere online, but there's a picture in a boxing book I have that shows Napoles smiling in the ring after he stopped Curtis Cokes for the title and he has a giant sembrero on his head with his arm around Cokes... I always felt bad for Cokes, seeing that picture... His eyes are hideously swollen and look like puffy slits, his whole face seems like it is pulsating... What's worse is that the rematch was like a carbon copy... Asked about Napoles after the rematch, Cokes replied morosely "he's a good fighter and damned sure better than Curtis Cokes"
:giggle: Right? hard to envision a fighter (or really any pro athletes) being that humble and honest these days
Mr. Cokes IS Pretty Honest, When Assessing his Chances vs. Other Welters...He's Told REED Many Times, the 1 Welter he'd NEVER have Wanted to Fight was Tommy Hearns..."You Can't Do Shit w/a Welterweight THAT Motherfuckin' Big!"...When Asked to Rank HIMSELF @ the Weight, All Time, he'll Usually Say, "Man, it was A LOT of Good Welterweights", w/Out Ever Actually ANSWERING the Question... @ the Same Time, Mr. Cokes Flat Out REFUSES to Believe Sugar Ray Leonard Would've Beaten him, Had Their Eras Intertwined... REED:mj:
Do you think Mr. Cokes would have defeated Napoles had he been with Kevin Rooney and worked on his head movement and numbering system?
Cokes was a damned good fighter... Some good footage on YouTube of him... Real steady, good counterpuncher
