Who wins? Consider, Lopez had two very good performances in his career when he beat the crap outta Yory Boy at 147, and Aaron Davis at 154. He damn sure would pose Canelo with a tougher fight than that sloth punching bag Angulo did. Canelo has yet to face anyone who had the type of explosive power Lopez had. I'm not saying Canelo would lose per say, but I think he'd have to survive some very scary moments, and Lopez's chances are high. Lopez was only one or two good shots away from putting Quartey away in the 11th round. Either way, it'd be a good scrap. I do think the Ginger has a pretty good chin, but Lopez wouldn't just blast him out easily, but of the two, I think Lopez had more power.
It was a good scrap, and JL beat Davis up. Aaron was a pretty durable guy, if nothing else. Put it this way, the way Lopez beat up Campas was more impressive than the way Ginger beat up AngulSLOW. I'd say it's an interesting matchup. Ging would be best served to box, cause a slugfest would give JL his best chance of whacking Canelo out.
I think Lopez got more mileage out of hurting Quartey than he really warranted. He was always overrated to me as a "coulda been" guy... I don't buy that surfing and weed prevented him from acheiving some sort of greatness... I think what you saw was what you got That said, he's better than anybody Canelo has fought not named Mayweather, especially a scrub like Angulo
