    I think Mayorga can handle Kirkland's incoming but not the other way around and it's probably that simple. There is not much nuance to a fight like this other than Kirkland being able to shorten his punches better.

    mayorga was in tremendous shape when he fought lewis and forrest at welterweight, but he looked shitty against guys like piccirrillo at 154

    He still went to the 12th round with Cotto and Mosley and held up pretty well against both.

    Mayorga was at his best at 147, but I think he'd still be too much man for Kirkland at 154.
