Same. If Maidana got the decision it wouldn't have been the worst robbery in history, but I don't think he won the fight. He simply did loads better than expected.

Didn't scored the fight but seemed to me like it could go either way. Floyd had the cleaner work but too much inactivity, negativity and clinching. Floyd won his rounds clenaly though, while the one I thought Maidana won were usually close.

Pacquiao is still the only guy around Floyd's weight who has a chance of beating him.

There's no point in Floyd continuing to fight unless he's gonna face Pacquiao or Martinez. Otherwise he's putting himself at risk to get beat by some young fighter looking to make a name for himself.

Disagreed, I think Lara or Andrade might beat him. Floyd is getting old and was never as good as advertised at ww and up.

Well, Schaeffer & Floyd wants the rematch on September. So there will be Mayweather vs Maidana 2.

I think when people watch it again it will appear less close than they initially thought

maidana exceeded expectations but by the 10th there was not a doubt in my mind Mayweather was winning the fight

It's possible you will see it again and think it was closer.

In order to defeat Mayweather you have to beat him up. I don't see any younger guy that's out there right now out-smarting him.

It was a close fight, definitely the closest since Castillo I. Floyd definitely won though

Never happened that way in 20+ years of watching this sport... Every time an underdog has exceeded expectations, his performance has appeared less impressive on upon revisiting

i thought castillo won won the first fight and then I watched it again and had it at best (for him) a draw

I guess when you are 20lbs heavier you can bully the smaller dude to the ropes and get away with rough house tactics. Damn Maidana put on hella weight after the weigh in. I'll Holla 5000

It honestly looked to me like Maidana landed mostly glancing blows and a lot on Floyd's arms and shoulders.

This fight was close for a Mayweather fight but Maidana won maybe 4 rounds cleanly.

Floyd "allowed" it quite often by not throwing enough punches when in the center of the ring. When Floyd connected Maidana often couldn't do anything other than waiting for them to stop and then carry on forward.

I scored it 116-113 for Floyd.

I had Maidana up 3-2 after five. I gave Floyd rounds 6-10. Round 11 even. Round 12 Maidana.

Maidana fought how he was supposed to. credit to Garcia for game plan. Still lost clear

Floyd won at least 5 of the last 6 rounds. No robbery. Very well done by Maidana to use every tactic in the book to rough up Floyd as well as a relentless workate. That's how to fight someone way more skilled than you.

Can't say anything else than I called it. Mayweather is an excellent fighter, but he hes a lot of problems with good, aggressive, reckless boxers

Argentina did way better against mayweather jr than Mexico has. Rios, cuello, baldomir, Maidana were some of the fights he's looked his worst

Not sure what's more surprising, Maidana giving Floyd a close fight, or Trashkhan dominating Collazo and even knocking him down.
