Can the pride of Caguas handle a ferocious puncher in Nigel Benn?

    Not a chance in hell

Cotto can't take a real rough going from a Welterweight, never mind a middleweight... He'd get stopped in a few rounds, tops

Cotto is clearly a better fighter, but no way he can handle Benn's ferocious 160 pound offense. He gets decimated in a few rounds.

    this.
I could see cotto stunnning him a few times with a few well placed counters, but a the end of the day, Benn is too big, ferocious and powerful for Cotto.

Any body's opinion change after Cotto just won the linear MW championship?

I still think Benn knocks him out of the ring, unless he's gets himself disqualified after hitting him while he's down

No. As good as he fought yesterday that version of Martinez doesn't bear any resemblance to Nigel Benn.

Makes me ponder a bit, but still, I think the Martinez that Cotto beaut was a corpse. I'm still not sure that Cotto hs the strenght to be a good middleweight.

Cotto beating up the remains of an overrated fighter does nothing to make me pick him against any decent middleweight
