To be fair, DM had BOTH feet in the grave when he fought Tiozzo. I'm a Jones fan, and even I think DM was a helluva fighter. Jones would have kicked his ass, but it doesn't mean DM wasn't good.
This is absolutely false. DM was a BIG light heavy, who even moved up to cruiser and battered Nestor Giovanini to win a cruiser title. P4P GGG is porobably more talented, but straight up, DM would be too big and strong for him.

I do agree Gaybox is essentially unproven. He has barely fought a world class fighter, let alone an elite fighter. But you can just tell he's the goods. I generally like my fighters more proven than Gaybox, but in this instance I'm confident he's an elite fighter. Obviously on a lesser scale, but it's a bit like Tyson in his prime. Blasting through scrubs, but there was no doubt he was an amazing fighter. I have little doubt Gaybox is better than Tsyzu and Boofski, even if he hasn't proven it yet.
at this point golovkin is like mosley was as a lightweight. great amateur who is blasting out everyone willing to face him. and since he is a killer, not many are willing to actually face him in what is already a weak division. unlike mosley it hardly seems like he's killing himself making 160lbs and since ward is a fucking nobody in the grand financial scheme of things there is no impetus for him to make the jump to face him like mosley did against delahoya.
