I meant the League Cup. I'm not that old. That's what happens when you try to sneak a post or two in between lectures.

Everyone who saw Aston Villa win those titles is dead. All their kids are probably dead, too.

Are Preston North End a big club, too? They won a shitload back in those days

Liverpool have played 10 league games this year. With the exception of the Spurs game, the performance level has been awful and that goes for everyone. Kolo Toure last night was better than Skrtel,Sahko & Lovern, he should start the next game.

When you spend ~40 million on CB's thats depressing.

Yeah it's been dire thus far. Last year it appeared Suarez and Sturridge could provide all the offense they would need and they lost out by simply leaking too many easy goals which turned what should have been wins into lost points. It's a simplification but it appeared that if they could maintain what they had, and shore up the defense they could get to that next level.

Instead Suarez is gone, Sturridge has been injured, Gerrard is another year older and the defense is still poor. It's not just the newcomers either. Skrtel was excellent last season but hasn't looked very good to me in the Liverpool matches i've watched. Add Balotelli to the equation and the whole thing is a mess.

Sturridge being out has really hurt them a lot... I think Sterling has played well, just has fuck all to work with

    I suppose.

Do you think Irish needs to have a sit down with Balotelli? Maybe a good old one on one frank discussion puts Liverpool and Mario back on track.

I shall remain positive, for now. Lovern & Moreno are decent players, they will come good. Can looks better with each game & Sturridge is close to fitness. We've been bad but it can be fixed. Gerrard needs to play every other game and or become an impact sub. In January we need a defensive midfield player and a striker.

When Suarez was suspended last season, we were just as good.... We live in hope.

I can't fault the kid - we cannot expect the same level of performance when he has no supply or backup.

I figured you guys should have went after Huntelaar a few years ago. He's still a quality striker but i'm not sure he's worth the investment at this point. Someone to consider though. Khedira would a great addition but i think Pool would get outbid.

Yeah, that's the problem with Khedira. I think he's worth the money for a club that has money to burn, but there is only a handful of those.

Bender is good, but i wouldn't expect too much. In other words he's pretty solid but i don't see him making a major impact at Pool.

Go after Pogba. Make an Arsene Wenger type offer of 35 euros and cheeseburger.

Have I made an offer for Pogba for 35 euros with Juventus asking for 35 million? I can't really comment on this. Little bit transfer niggle.

City offer 2 for 1 on tickets and still fail to sell out the stadium.

Anyone else notice a lot of spares seats in certain games this season.

You could probably get Keissling, Draxler, Hermann or Kruse. Draxler would likely be the highest priced. He's talented but i'm not sure he'll live up to his potential.
