I am not sure if Spinks would have gotten him out of there, since Spinks didn't always go for the kill and against him Hops would be perhaps even more passive.
Agreed. Obviously Spinks would have dominated the fight but it's not an absolute lock he would have stopped him. Bernard would have approached the fight similarly and likely so would have Spinks.
Hop tastes the Jinx and runs for the rest of the fight, throwing like 2-3 punches per round. If it's Foster we're talking about, Hop goes to the morgue. Bob wouldn't give a flying fuck. He was one of the most brutal finishers of all time. Spinks would probably let him last the distance, and win a wiiiiiiddeee UD.
Spinks always went for the kill against guys whose power he didn't respect... I think he gets Bernard out of there
It is possible. He could just walk through Hop like he did Vonzell Johnson. Spinks' power was actually more explosive than Kov's. Kov is incredibly heavy handed, but he doesn't have the velocity on his right hand that Spinks had.
