    The public accounts committee have the CEO of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Kevin Nicholson, in front of them last week for questioning and they show him a diagram of how their corporate clients' profits pass through various offshore boltholes to end up in luxembourg.

    Q: Does your company operate these schemes for said clients?
    A: I wouldn't call them 'schemes' in any normal sense of the word
    Q: But your company does design and operate them?
    A: I'm not trying to be difficult, i just really don't know what 'design' means.
    Q: I see. Can you estimate how much these operations save your clients in their tax bill?
    A: I really wouldn't know, I'm not an international tax expert.

    How many times can we make the same mistake? How many times would be acceptable?

    as I pointed out last week, there is an obvious powder struggle going on and it will not only cost Rodgers but it's costing the club a great opportunity to close the gap with Arsenal/Utd.

    those opportunities do not come round too often.
