Nothing is guaranteed yet regarding Cotto-Canelo, Floyd-Cotto 2, but I can't see Floyd giving Khan a shot, nor can I see Khan-Pacquiao happening. Khan-Garcia 2 for May? I'm not so sure. I think Garcia-Peterson takes place early next year so that'll rule out Garcia. Porter? Guerrero? Neither of them have titles. Thurman? That's a possibility and Thurman has spoke of his interest in facing Khan. Brook? Khan-Brook is a big money fight in the UK, but I don't think it happens in May. Brook's first world title defence = an easy nights work in Sheffield. Any other options?
Khan should face Thurman. That will be a true test to see if he's really improved or not. Fuck it, he has to EARN a rematch with Garcia. He hasn't even avenged his loss to Lamont Peterson yet. A fight with Sean Porter is respectable. His excuse for not fighting Brook in the UK makes him look like a bitch.
I don't think Khan is in the running tbh, his voice is fairly normal, at least for someone with that silly accent. It should be between Brook and Alexander, they both sound like little girls.
Khan has gone to Peshawar to visit the school where the kids were massacred. I think he should stay there.
We all know the score...he will fight somebody that is a big enough NAME for the Networks and his media-stooges, but who is minimal actual threat. Khan is on easy street right now.....playing the part of the big-time "Floyd and Pac are afraid of me" man but coasting all the while, fighting carefully hand-picked guys. I can tell you who he WON'T fight easier than who he WILL fight.
Agreed. People really need to dampen the excitement with Khan and realise he hasn't even beaten a top 10 ww. The guy he just dominated was a tailor made scrub.
It's interesting that Khan says Brook is not on his level because if anything, Khan at this moment I think needs Brook more than Brook needs him. Brook is undefeated, has a belt, and whooped the guy who whooped Alexander before Khan picked at the remains. In actuality, that is the fight Khan needs to come somewhat close to regaining his pre-Peterson status.
