You cannot compare Gerrard with Keane, Completely different players. Scholes is the best English player in recent times and possessed the one attribute Gerrard lacked, controlling the game. NO issue with guys ranking Scholes above Gerrard.

Alonso / Mascherano and Gerrard was a excellent midfield, Xabi controlled the game, Mash kicked anything that moved and Gerrard did what he did best

The FA cup V West Ham, CL final, the goal Vs Olympiacos are stand out moments but for a time, he was producing such moments every other week. He kept the club relevant during some dark years.

Gerrard was at his best around 2004/06, the EPL was probably the strongest league in Europe back then. The fact remains, Gerrard could have signed for pretty much any club and started, of course he's a great player.

Hopefully the one wearing the shades.

What's your take, are you buying the official line. 'I want to play every game'?

Apparently Alex Gerrard and Steven Gerrard are school pals.

Steven Gerrard probably stopped going to school at the age of 12

Everton are 13-10, West Ham 3-1 and the draw is 13-8.

    Excellent -

    http://www.theguardian.com/commenti...gow-poverty-westminster-should-devolve-powers

'The Glasgow initiative on the living wage is both visionary and enlightened. Companies seeking to secure council contracts must now be prepared to shed light on their attitudes towards their employees. Do they pay the living wage? Can they demonstrate that they do not use exploitative zero-hours contracts? Have they ever engaged in the pernicious practice of blacklisting members of trade unions? The answers to these questions will now carry a greater weight in the tendering process.'

    Prood......PROOD.

This will never happen in America, sadly. Americans don't believe in society and the greater good. They don't care about their neighbor. It's all a race to hoard as much gold as you can

    Maybe in Portland or Seattle.

The whole referendum debate's really shifted things here. Green and Socialist campaigners were a huge part of the Yes campaign and brought the SNP quite far to the left with them; meanwhile Labour have become regarded as the the right wing option (that they are) and Scottish Labour is suddenly scrambling to reposition with policies like these. There was a 'Radical alternative' conference at the Armadillo last month with 5,000 people there which is probably more than the UK Tory conference. I'm tempted to feel optimistic.
