Heat is definitely not a 4/10 film... much closer to 7/10...

HOOEVER, the DeNiro/Pacino scene is 2/10

I want to see Denzel play a character. I would love to see how denzel would handle something like Captain Shakespeare

I appreciate actors that are so charismatic, so engrossing that the people they are playing become THEM not the other way around. When I think about Ruben Carter, I see Denzel. When I think about Malcolm X, I see Denzel. When I think of Herman Boone, I see Denzel.

But in Glory and Training Day, he just plain acted his ass off.

    Birdman 7/10

Didn't live up to the hype for me, however Keaton and Norton were excelent in this movie. you forget just how good an actor Michael Keaton is.

I also found the backing drum during the theatre scenes incredibly annoying.

    American Hustle 6.5/10. Pretty good.

Really? I was planning to skip this as the trailer just holds no appeal for me. As a drama is it really worth a watch?

Difference between mine and Hut's rating system I guess. I also have it exactly a 6.5 in the "American Hustle" thread, and it scared you away from it.

I would skip it. to me, it's not really worth it. Nothing in it made a lasting impact.

Well after re-reading that thread it was more your review than your score that scared me off, so yeah, that and going off Godfather's advice I think I'll just skip it.

Just noticed this review and I never heard of this. It sounds interesting and I think I'll check it out.

why'd my review get moved? I was rating the last film I watched... why does this thread exist?

The topic that my review was moved to hasn't had a post in it since July... I'm supposed to go looking for a topic I don't even know exists just to post a movie review when this thread already exists for that purpose?

Anyway, eat shit Anthony... Check this shit out

    The King Of Kong 7.5/10

An entertaining docu-drama about various nerdy dudes competing earnestly for the highest score ever on a Donkey Kong game (the actual arcade version from the early 80s) ... Definite good guy/bad guy dynamic. Includes a memorable scene featuring one of the bad guy's most pathetic, dorky sycophants doing all he can to sabotage the good guy upstart, essentially pwning himself for all time as one of the most transparent, passively churlish, uber-nerds ever recorded on film... Truly odd, awkward, dorky people who take this shit as serious as cancer... I've heard that there are some inaccuracies on this, but I don't care enough about the subject to be concerned... Definitely enjoyable for a casual viewer with no attachment to arcades.

Relax gladys. This thread is here to talk about movies you have seen recently that dont really have a thread. While yes, i would prefer that you do a small search, it's cool if you dont. And i dont always move the post. I usually only do it when that one particular thread has a lot of posts.

So in short, no, you dont have to do it. I will move them if it was a popular topic. I hope it's cool

Godfather probably moved it because it was a thoughtful review and the thread already existed. This is for more half-assed reviews, or movies that don't already have threads dedicated to them.

The search forum function will let you know if there is already a thread dedicated to a specific movie.

I think it's dumb, frankly. It's a small paragraph review. I'm "rating" it.

The search function on this site was fucked after the last server switch... The search can't go back to any time before the server switch, no matter what options you click or unclick
