Before going to the current report, allow me to recap the past two weekends I didn’t posted the reports: Superbowl weekend highlight. American Sniper easily remained at the top of the box office with $30.6 million on its third week. It didn’t dethroned the current superbowl record holder Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both World’s Concert Tour of $31.1 million just by a hair. But if wasn’t a superbowl weekend it could have done better. The film has grossed so far $253 million domestically and it could come close to the numbers of Guardians of the Galaxy or #1 2014 film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1. Last weekend While kiddie flick The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water debuted with an impressive-for-February-gross of $55.3 million, the real story was the bombs that were dropped. In a box office Pearl Harbor, two massive bombs descended simultaneously to theaters everywhere, something unheard of in Hollywood history, as the very costly ($176 million) Walchowski siblings Jupiter Ascending grossed a lame $18.3 million amid an avalanche of bad reviews. The other bomb is Seventh Son (budget $95 million) which only took $7.2 million. This mark the third dud in a row for Jeff Bridges after R.I.P.D. and The Giver. This Weekend Audiences (mostly females over age 25) submitted to the charm of Fifty Shades of Grey which dominated with a whipping record breaking $81.7 million. It is the second biggest ever February debut, behind The Passion of The Christ and the fifth biggest opening of an R-rated film. It is the biggest opening ever of Presidents Day weekend. The kinky film, which had a modest budget ($40 million) and mostly unknown actors, have already in the bank an astounding $239 million from worldwide grosses and could finish its run with over $600 million. Expect a sequel to hurt the competition next year. Kingsman: The Secret Service opened to a distant, but res pectable second place with $35 million. Last week’s champ The SpongeBob Movie descended to the third spot with a splashing $30.5 million bringing its domestic total to $93.6 million in 10 days. American Sniper is still doing very well in its eight week of release and took $16.4 million in the fourth spot. The Clint Eastwood blockbuster now has a gross of $304 million and ranks as the third biggest hit of 2014. Finally in the fifth spot Jupiter Ascending continues descendingwith $9.4 million for a total of $32.5 million in two weeks. Whoever greenlighted this fiasco at Warner Bros most likely is looking for a job right now.
I'll admit I under-estimated the power of the tween porn audience and the vacuousness of the American public. Kudo's to a brilliant marketing pitch. I thought this was going to be one of those films people were more excited about coming out, then actually going to see once it hit theaters. I'll echo just about every other review I've read regarding this movie in saying.........if you are actually interested in this type of subject matter, watch "Secretary" instead.
An interesting fact about the book '50 Shades of Grey' is that it started as an online 'Twilight' fanfiction story. When it became very popular, the author just changed the names, removed the Twilight reference and sold it as a book.
it's more timing than marketing. The fact it came out valentines day weekend is what did. Had it been any other weekend, it would not have done well. THat being said, the review for the movie are horrendous. As expected.
What, like YOU'VE never fallen in love with a billionaire sexual deviant, who regularly includes the phrase "anal fisting" into his contract language.............but really he's just looking for some young lovely to call him on his shit, because deep down inside he's damaged goods, who ultimately wants to be healed? A fister with a heart of gold, if you will.
It's like we're twinsies. Thinking the same thoughts, opening the same fissures with our gloved, lubricated and clenched appendages. :bears:
Cannot for the life of me understand why people who want to watch porn have traipsed to the cinema to watch some soft core horseshit when they could have watched all the hardcore porn they wanted, in the comfort of their own home, on YouPorn for fuck all. MTF :dunno:
My girl dragged me to it. It was a movie theatre that allows alcohol so a few rows were full of drunk people. I don't think anyone minded that they were talking throughout the movie because it was so terrible to begin with. The crowd was mostly just laughing throughout the movie at how bad it was.

It wasn't that terrible or funny but the crowd was torn apart in laughter. Nothing as bad as having breast cancer (great job how they went into that storyline).
With such artistic achievements as Desperately Seeking Susan and Body Of Evidence under her belt, Madonna knows cinema
Yeah, she's been in some horrible shit. That film she made when she was with Guy Ritchie was fucking unbearable...........and I like most of Ritchie's films.
Well, Madonna knows a thing or two about Erotica which has been what kept her career afloat for decades and she was ridiculously praised by movie critics for her role as Eva Peron in Evita thus bloating more her already bloated ego.
She had nice tits and a good face for about 3 minutes, early in her career..........but I've always had a hard time finding her "Sexy". I remember picking up that huge "Sex" book that she put out, while in a bookstore and thumbing through it, and finding it far from "Erotic".
