Manny's best chance was indeed in 09-10.

Floyd will clearly beat him now.

    Floyd is definitely the favorite.

But I think he's slowed down enough now that if Manny comes in really motivated, he could give Floyd more than he bargained for. Floyd's fights with Maidana show me he's definitely slowing down. His reflexes have lost a step, and thus he gets hit more. And while Pacquiao is 36, Floyd hasn't faced true speed since 2005 when he fought Judah. Gun to my head, I say Mayweather via close UD on some 115-113 type scores but Pacquiao is definitely LIVE and I'm hoping he pulls it off. Fingers crossed.

It is hard to believe Manny hasn't stopped anyone in over half a fucking decade. You watch him fight, and he still seems like one of the very best offensive fighters in the sport. I guess it just goes to show how his mindset has changed in the ring, now having a propensity to box and coast.

The problem with him now is he's pretty tame, and patient. A better boxer than ever, but without the violent fury that enabled him to stomp the shit out of everyone from Barrera to Cotto.

Unfortunately, his new style plays right into Floyd's hands.

However - If he can muster up some of his old fire and energy, he still has a good chance.

Floyd by decision is the obvious pick though, but I don't see Pacquiao getting dominated like half of you seem to. I reckon Floyd 7-5 in a pretty boring fight.

I hate to be a negative nancy, but unfortunately a lot of huge fights are disappointing these days, and look like sparring sessions, with neither guy taking many risks etc.

It's because he hasn't fought David Diaz, Jorge Solis and Ricky Hatton the last half decade. Look at the guys he fought. Either never been stopped or the guy he couldn't stop in his prime either. Or hard-asses like Margarito and Rios who took an absolute pounding that would have caved in a lot of people. Then this runner Algieri.

Anyways I can give him an easy excuse in all of those fights. And he is still very good and imo not as declined as Floyd is. I think Manny chance is better now than 5 years back. He still has the speed to trouble an older Mayweather, the workrate to outwork him and the right style, too.

Floyd is fucking 38 he almost lost to Cotto and Maidana who would imo have lost to Pacman much clearer in those respective fights.

I can't believe everybody here is so certain Floyd will win and easy at that. That's completely inscane - IF he beats him it will close and maybe controversial. I think Manny will expose Floyds age more than the other way round.

While I think that Manny best chance was when he wrecked Cotto, I agree that he's still a very live dog. Heck, as I said previously, I lean slightly toward him. His workrate, speed and power will give a lot of trouble to PBF.

Fighters can split rounds while still being a boring fight, don't be absurd ILLU.

Floyd vs Oscar was a pretty boring fight, and that was also a 7-5 fight.

I'm seriously considering it, but it's a long ass flight from here. How much are you laying down for admission, if you don't mind my asking?

I'm seeing $2500 for nosebleeds. Ringside is just stupid, ~$35k and up. Any idea what the arena is like.. ie can you see well from the worst seats, or are you gonna be spending $2k+ to watch it on a big screen?

REED'll Stop Short of Actually Predicting a WINNER, Until we Get Closer to Fight Night...

But Make No Mistake, this will Be THE Toughest Bout of Floyd Mayweather's Career & @ his Age, is he REALLY Prepared for that???...Manny Brings Elements of Judah/Corley AND Castillo/Maidana to the Ring...He's an ATHLETIC Souf' Paw who Can Punch...He's Also a PRESSURE Fighter...

Manny Will Be QUICKER of Hand and Foot than Floyd...Moreso, Floyd No Loooooooooooonger has the LEGS to Make this a 12 Round, Safety 1st Track Meet...

REED Actually Gives Pac a BETTER Chance Now, than he Would've Had 5 Years Ago...Floyd's the Superior Technician, but he's Only Able to Execute in SPURTS, These Days...Pac Needs to Exploit Floyd's LULLS, Because therein Lies his Vulnerability...

Floyd Mayweather WILL Be Taken into Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep Waters...Will he SINK or SWIM???...

Pac had a better chance 5-6 years ago because he still had the mentality of a killer then, and his speed, workrate, and ability to punch from weird angles was just absurdly good.

Now, Pac still throws very fast SINGLE punches, but his combination punching speed and footwork have declined.

He THINKS more now, whereas in 09 everything just flowed automatically.

Put Rios and Algeri in with the 09 version of Pac, and neither one lasts longer than 6 rounds.

Though Obviously DECLINED, REED Thinks Pac is Still YOUNG Enough to Dial Up 1-2 More Peak Level Performances...He Can Still Turn Back the Hands of Time 1nce or 2wice More, Especially for Occasions Such as This...

& Please Believe, if Manny Demonstrates an Ability to HURT or UNNERVE Floyd w/Shots, the Old Fire & Aggression WILL Resurface...

Pac's @ that Phase of his Career where it's Hard to Get UP for Certain Guys, which has Led to Lukewarm Outings...That WON'T Be the Case Come May 2nd...

Well, let's hope, because I'm rooting heavily for Pac. I hope he beats the living shit outta Floyd.

But my head says Floyd by UD.
