I read somewhere that after signing a $5 million deal with Roc Nation, Miguel Cotto next fight will be against current IBF Junior middleweight champion Cornelius Bundrage which will be held on June. I haven't seen Bundrage in action (I'll have to see if his bout with Carlos Molina is in youtube), but this is a 41 year old boxer with not much power per his record. Is Cotto just milking his last few bouts against safe opponents as he passed on Canelo & Golovkin? Can we blame him for that?

Cotto has had very tough fights and is arguably coming off his biggest win of his career. I still think it's a bullshit fight. I was expecting to see Cotto vs GGG or Cotto vs Bradley at the very least.

It was bound to happen when he left Top Rank in such bad terms. ROC don't have much to work with so his options are limited. There were rumors of him fighting Khan, so I wouldn't get too excited about his next (last) fights.

Well, Cotto is pocketing $5 million just for signing with Roc Nation. He couldn't care less if his next opponent is the gym's janitor.

I know. Just don't expect him to go out with a bang.

Who else has gone out with a bang? Most boxers retire after humiliating defeats.

Roc Nation is that Jay Z company? If so....just 5 million? Is that just for signing with them? Does he have a per fight minimum he will be making? 4-5 million?....YOu have Bradley, Khan, Ginger...n you fight Bundrage? :baa:

He had the chance to fight Canelo. That would've been going out with a bang.

Um, 5 mil really doesn't seem like much for a guy as famous as Cotto.

Hasn't he made almost that much for single fights with Manny and Floyd?

How many fights is this deal for?

There aren't many and I prefer guys to end their careers on losses, or with a gimme win, if they must.

Lennox, Carbajal, and Bowe before the comeback are examples.

I found out that the deal is $50 million for 3 fights!! that is insane!!! No wonder Cotto signed immediately. Yeah, the $5 was just for signing.

Bundrage is one stinky fighter to watch. Hard to imagine a boring Cotto fight, but if anyone could pull it off, it'd be Bundrage.

    Cotto will Knock Bundrage Out...

Bundrage is "Stinky" Because he DOESN'T Have a Very Good Chin...Cotto will Apply Constant Pressure, Walk Bundrage into Corners/Along the Ropes & Open Up w/Both Hands...

REED Can't See Bundrage Lasting Any More than 5-6 Rounds...

What a disgraceful fight for Cotto to take.

Bumrage was destroyed by Joel Julio.

Agreed, terrible fight. I'd rather watch him fight almost anyone else, even smaller fighters like Bradley or Maidana.

Bundrage has a belt which is the only reason it's being considered. Title bout y'all!

That makes more sense, sort of. Well that it's a signing bonus makes more sense, but jesus, 50 million seems too high

Especially if he's going to be fighting scrubs. If he was fighting Pacquiao/Floyd/Golovkin then maybe.

The only thing I remember from Cornelius Bundrage is the double knock down against Sechew Powell in a fight he lost by KO about 10 seconds later.

He was Also a Semi-Finalist on 1 of "The Contender" Seasons, if that Counts for Anything:lol:...

If REED Isn't Mistaken, Bundrage and Sergio Mora are the Only Alumni of that Show to Win a World Title...
