Garcia vs Peterson: Final Predictions

I think I gave Trout the nod over him too.

Kirkland will be the third southpaw Canelo has faced in his last five fights.

 

Canelo is a small fat bum, with fat little legs. At 160 I doubt he'd beat Pete, Lee, or any decent middleweight.

 

Hopefully, it's just that Kirkland's chin is shit and if Canelo times him with something big it could be all over in no time at all.

 

I think inactivity will do Kirkland in.

The version of Kirkland that beat Angulo would have an EXCELLENT chance of beating Canelo. In fact, I'd favor that Kirkland over Canelo.

I just don't think he's that fighter anymore.

 

That was a crazy fight which could have been held in a telephone box. Thing is Kirkland shipped a lot of shots during that fight. I guess that's just his style, but I think Canelo will be too compact and precise with his punches.

 

Canelo is a fat box bot....he oozes grease, throws his box bot combos...then stands there catching a breather. Fat box bot.

The fat little ginger is more like 5'7, not 5'9. Even Floyd was taller.

Nah man..I don't agree....you cant expect Peterson to just start walking down Garcia from the beginning...he would have gassed himself out and he needed to settle himself into the fight and not get caught early so what Peterson did was box well early (even if some people think he ran) and then took Garcia to school in the second half of the fight...i mean he laid an asswuppin!!!!! He was ROBBED.....I had Peterson winning easily...he put together a great game plan and executed it to perfection

My take is basically Garcia got tired at which point Peterson could be aggressive and have some success.

But I actually thought Garcia looked pretty good in the first half. He was catching Peterson with counters and definitely landing the cleaner shots. This was less and less the case as the second half unfolded and Garcia got tired.

Peterson said he thought by the 9th or 10th he could possibly stop Garcia. And it looked like he maybe was working toward that by the 10th but Garcia wasn't "that" tired.

That really does seem like where this is going.

I like a lot about PBC, but their pretending that real belts don't exist is stupid and counterproductive. Bouts are less compelling when titles are not on the line.
