This is kind of like asking "the Hearns who fought at cruiserweight in the mid-90s vs a prime cruiserweight Evander Holyfield"

You guys really think either of these two is as far gone as tommy Hearns was when he was fighting as a cruiserweight???

make it either guy 5 years ago if you'd like and the answer is the same... Neither one of them has a chance in hell against Tommy

They're way beyond their best weight classes and so is Hearns at that weight. Both are as old as Hearns was at 190, if not older. Manny's best weight class was 126-130 lb and Floyd's was 130-135.

Floyd beats any 130 lber in history imo.

    Neither did Barkley...before they fought.

I tend to agree that Hearns would beat the prime versions of either, but they each have a chance giving Hearns' suspect stamina and chin.

All of that means nothing... Thomas Hearns was a terribly shot and completely irrelevant fighter when he was fighting at 190... Neither of these guys is in any way shot and both are among the best in the sport ... The flip side to what you guys are saying would be "Mayweather and Pac were in their primes at 30, therefore so was Wilfred Benitez" which is also obviously false since Benitez was shot by his mid 20s

OK, the Hearns that beat Virgil Hill at 175 lbs vs a prime Roy Jones Jr, then.

("ROY JONES GR KTKFOHFO THAT BUM HE WOODOF STAID AT 147")

The point is Hearns is an ATG 147 lb fighter, it was his best weight class, he was in his prime there. Floyd:130::Hearns:147, same goes for Pac

LMAOO @ Sly thinking ANY versions of Pac or Floyd could beat Hearns.

Hearns would knock ANY version of Pac out within 3-4 rounds, and he'd put Floyd into a defensive/survival shell.

Hearns NEVER lost to a midget or a smaller man.

Sly loves bringing up the Barkley fight, but the fact is Barkley was a HUGE middleweight and a big puncher.

Floyd and Manny are small men compared to Hearns, and if Sly thinks Floyd would even ATTEMPT to walk down Hearns, then he's really been drinking Floyd's cum too often.

I respect this post. You didn't say he'd knock out Mayweather early like so many idiots would have said. I tend to agree. I've always picked hearns to beat Mayweather at 147lbs. I'm just saying....Hearns could be hurt and could run out of gas...both Floyd and Manny had great gas tanks in addition to everything else. That's all I'm saying.

The best possible WELTERWEIGHT version of Pacquiao n Floyd would do nothing but GET KO'ed by Hearns(Welter)....

A muthafucka who ran against Carlos Baldomir and the corpse of DLH is gonna walk down prime Tommy Hearns...........

    Makes PERFECT sense to me.........

He would have given Hearns free right hands like Mayorga did to opponents and said "is that all you got Tommy!?" Then he would proceed to put an offensive clinic knocking Hearns out in the 4th.

    More interesting mythical matchups:

Chavez Sr vs Tommy Hearns at 147 lb
Alexis Arguello vs Tommy Hearns at 147 lb
Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roy Jones Jr at 168 lb
Tommy Hearns vs Roy Jones Jr at 175 lb
Bernard Hopkins vs Evander Holyfield at 190 lb

Make it prime Mayweather and he is fighting Alexis Arguello in an epic super-featherweight matchup instead of Hearns

Floyd is the best junior lightweight of all time. I'll give him that. Arguello, Nelson, Camacho, they all lose to Floyd at 130. Due to styles, Floyd would have beaten Arguello easier than Camacho. I do wonder how Floyd would deal with Camacho at 130. Camacho's talent at junior lightweight was outta this world.

Yeah. Tommy is wrong for just about every Welterweight who ever lived. 15 round fights, same day weigh in did as much damage to him as any fighter.

You basically need the chin to take punishment from him, the size to get to him, the power to hurt him and the gumption to risk getting KOd to throw everything you've got at him... Precious few could do it, Leonard and Robinson being the only clear cut examples I think in my mind

Tommy overtrained and still would've won over 12, nearly won over 15. Hearns would've beaten him in a rematch, which is why the Sugar Fairy wanted no part of one.
