Their careers are both pretty much done now, so who is greater? Undefeated 5 division Floyd or 8 division Pac?

Pacquiao by a landslide. Nobody gives a f*ck about Mayweather except black Americans living in ghetto sh*tholes. Pacquiao is respected all over the world.

The FIGHTER who fought the best of the best at or near their primes and never made up any excuse to duck any other boxer in the world. The FIGHTER who brought excitement, fast paced action in every fight and fought in gems that can be watched and replayed by everyone who loves boxing and by future fans of the sport.

Easy work: Living legend Manny Pacquaio.

Floyd beat Pac so his resumé now looks elite. Before saturday, Pac was the greatest of the two.

:laugh100:.....Most of the popularity acredit to Pacquiao can be directly link to the HATE people have for FLOYD MAYWEATHER.....for 5-6 years...in most peoples eyes Pacquiao was Mayweather boogeyman...

It's no secret I much prefer Pacquiao as a fighter but I've always predicted Mayweather would beat him by decision even when the fight was at the peak of its relevance.

Just face it, if Pacquiao beat Floyd we all know the Mayweather contingent would be in here saying how it would have been different years ago. None of them would be posting that it would have been basically the same fight.

Elite fighters Pacquiao beat in their prime - Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Hatton, Cotto.

Elite fighters Floyd beat in their prime - Hatton, Cotto.

Borderline elite fighters Floyd beat in their prime - Chico, Castillo.

    8 divisions Vs 5 divisions.

Manny clearly has the better resumé and is the historically greater fighter.

In that case you must think Floyd is perhaps P4P #1 all time, with Marciano and even Calzaghe right up there.

Even Duran, Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Robinson, Monzon, Ali, Charles, Armstrong, etc etc have losses. Most of them more than Pacquiao. Pretty much everyone apart from Marciano, Calzaghe, and Floyd

I will not even count Cotto as 'prime' in Floyd's resume: even Floyd was calling Cotto 'damaged' when Pacquiao was going to face him not longer after the Margarito beating. By facing Margarito's & Pacquiao's 'damaged goods' later, Floyd shoot himself in the foot.

Hold your horses: Ricardo 'Finito' Lopez retired undefeated 51-0 (1) with 38 KO & 26 title defenses. He was a real fighter. He will be remembered in greater light than Floyd.

Floyd is the best fighter of this generation, but he doesn't approach being an all time great.

Lopez never ducked anyone, was in many wars, was a likable humble Mexican who retired after cleaning his division unlike prima donna Gayweather.

I think greater can still be debated.

But as much as we all despise Floyd, there's no question he was BETTER than Pac.

:l2: You could make a realistic case that he fought three good fighters his whole career, maybe even two
