    Froch has two wins over the man who bested DeGale.....also Froch beat Dirrell years and years ago.

    I acknowledge DeGales win and his title but the lad is allowing Bumbrose Bendy to influence him too much.

    DeGale is possibly the WORST British 168lb champ since Glenn Catley.

    DeGale looked like a guy who doesn't juice. He isn't chiseled, he actually has to pace himself.

    I've liked Dirrell since well before the olys. Phenom talent back then. Last night he was not as good as he was in the S6--I agree with X.

    But, Dirrell is such a dipshit thug trying to intimidate that he's hard to root for. He did it to Froch and again to DeGale, right before he got knocked on his ass.

    DeGale could do much better in a rematch. He forgot his jab after the knockdowns and Dirrell did much better when that happened.

    I already think he is better than Woodhall and Catley, but jeez let's see him defending the belt first before we start making statements like that. I was certain Froch was only going to stick around for a couple of title fights when he beat Pascal but fair play to him, he's still here.

    I understand his frustration with Froch, the guy has kept him waiting by refusing to confirm what he's doing, one way or the other. As I said, shit or get off the pot. It annoys me when ANY fighter does that.

    Well he did. Dirrell wasn't really doing much, just a couple of shoeshine flurries on the ropes, it's just Chunky was doing NOTHING. It's frustrating.

    degale was just knackered, simple as. dirrell's stamina kept him going through the 2nd half of the fight, while degale was flagging. don't know if this was just because of their training for this fight or if it's just the natural abilities of these guys, haven't seen them fight enough.

    Whatever people think of Chunky as a boxer, nobody can deny this was a nice touch. He's always spoken very highly of Sutherland and it was good to see him pay his respects. It's a shame we never got to see them do battle in the pros:

    Maybe fatigue yeah, but he looked fine in the 11th and 12th when he stepped it up again.

    In all honesty I think that DeGale's success has been in spite of McDonnell, not because of him. McDonnell has never been the best tactician and by all accounts he overtrained big time for this one.
