Golov would fuck Cotto up. Nothing has changed in that regard.

Geale sold him a very nice upright bagless vacuum cleaner at a reasonable price.

No, REED's Thought Geale's ALWAYS Sucked, yet when GGG Wasted Him, You and Other Fightbeaters CIRCLE JERKED Over How "Impressive" it Was....

how many tickets did they sell? I heard sales were shit, and it was a papered house. Nonetheless cotto is clearly the A side vs golovkin and his leverage in the negotiations will get him the bigger slice of the money and more importantly force golovkin down to 154lbs. i still am skeptical he faces golovkin. i am guessing a rematch with alvarez will be the more intelligent option for his camp

What HAS Changed is the SPLIT Cotto will Command, If/When a GGG Negotiation Ever Materializes AND the Likelihood of a CATCHWEIGHT...

After Tonight, Cotto's EASILY Worth a 65-45/70-30 Split AND a Reasonable Catchweight of his Choice...

It might be Canelo vs GGG, considering there's a 50-50 chance Cotto loses to Canelo.

I think Canelo is more WILLING to fight Golov than Cotto is.

i actually think cottos more aggressive approach makes for a very interesting rematch against mayweather jr. if he beats alvarez Id much rather see that rematch than golovkin vs cotto.

That is gonna be the X factor. If GGG is forced to come down in weight, Cotto might have a chance.

theres no doubt he's gonna have to come down in weight. if i was cotto Id make sure it was all the way down to 154. 12,157 announced attendance for the fight. heard plenty of tickets were given away as well

Regardless of what happened tonight....Cotto was always going to take the 70/30 split...who the fuck is GGG???....anyway 60% from the Canelo fight is a lot more than 70% for GGG....so Cotto is going for Canelo....

i agree he'll get 70% if the fight were to happen. maybe even more, and not because he is necessarily worth it in comparison to the type of attraction golovkin is on the verge of becoming. more so because he has the leverage of being a marketable stepping stone and he will maximize that

w/Out Having Seen the Attendance #'s (After all, The Fight JUST Ended Less than 30 Minutes Ago, Dude), REED is QUITE Confident in Assuming Cotto-Geale DEFECATED Upon GGG-Geale, in the SMALL Room of MSG, No Less, or Any Other Bout Golovkin's Had on that Coast...

You "Heard" it was a Papered House???...Yeah, People OUTSIDE of the Promotion ALWAYS Say Shit like that, Neil...As Derrick Gainer Would Say "That's Boxing!"

Canelo Is and SHOULD Be Cotto's Immediate Priority...After that Business is Done, However Many Fights it Takes, GGG is More than Welcomed to Bend Over and Take it Up the Ass, like a Prostate Exam...Or How Bout This, Instead of Waiting on SMALLER Guys to Move Up to Him, Maybe Fight a Supermiddle or 2, in the Interim???.....

    Just Sayin???

    Not really.
Canelo still has in his resume being on the 2nd most lucrative boxing bout I history, plus his Mexican fans outnumbers even the population of Puerto Rico. Like Xplosive I too think it will be a pick 'em fight as Canelo is a better fighter than you guys give credit for. In fact I will not be surprised at all if Ginger stops Miguel. Of course, the opposite can happen too, but regardless of who wins, one thing is for sure: that fight will NOT be the borefest that was Floyd vs Pacquiao.

i got no vested interest in the success of Jay Z. i like cotto and its kinda surprising he didnt sell as well in Brooklyn as he has in MSG. but yes, i "heard" aka read all over twitter from multiple ppl that tickets sold poorly and were given away

if golovkin goes up to fight a super middleweight u can forget about ever making 154lbs or 156lbs for a cotto fight after that

This is where your Golov hate causes you to say ignorant shit.

Cotto moved up to Golov's division on his own accord. It's not as if he was at junior middle and Golov randomly called him out.

Cotto CHOSE to move up to 160 and fight the lineal champ. He's recognized by the general public as the LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION.

So how in the living fuck is Golov "calling a smaller man to move up to him?"

If Cotto can't stand the heat of being middleweight champ and getting called out by the best middleweight in the world, then he shoulda never entered the fuckin kitchen!

Even with his broken english, Cotto crossed over to the US mainstream to some extent. Golovkin is wayyyy too far away from being a household name.

I think you're overrating Cotto's popularity. He's not DLH, Floyd popular. Tito in his day was more popular.

Golov is more and more becoming a recognizable mainstream name, and he's a big draw already.

Disagreed. More and more people are learning about GGG.

He's actually a LIKABLE figure with charisma, which helps his case.

He doesn't have the personality of a door knob like Cotto has.

No man. Cotto is very well known in the US. GGG is still a mid card level fighter in terms of popularity compared to Cotto. It takes years to cross over, and GGG is a late boomer unfortunately.

Beating Up BUMS on "Economically Priced" Cards on the West Coast???...When GGG REGULARLY Packs 15-20 THOUSAND in MSG, as Cotto has Done SEVERAL Times, Let REED Know...

What made Cotto popular were his fights with Floyd/Pac. Both gave him the exposure GGG could only dream about. He needs a "face" to cross over properly.
