I've never heard anybody say Bale is better than Suarez. I've stuck up for Bale on here because I feel he gets unnecessary stick and is a very good player but I'd never put him on the same level as a guy like Suarez. Suarez is one of the top four players on the planet, just slightly behind Messi and Ronaldo IMO.

Nah, he's awesome but still behind Messi.

He isn't, but hes right up there. I know you and Hut have said this before about Suarez but Messi and Ronaldo are setting STUPID records at the moment.

Been viewing rushes of David Cameron today, the man has some utterly atrocious banter.

Happy enough so far but we still need a 25+ striker

You tell Messi to do the spadework and see how many goals he gets.

Messi never did it in England either.

Suarez did it in three leagues and the CL Final.

He is over there in Europe being told what to do by Merkel and Obama.

He will come back with fuck all.

England will be told to take in 40,000 migrants from Sub Saharan Africa..."Your share"....and fuck all concessions.

He was the best player during his last season at LFC, that was prime Messi / Ronaldinho type stuff. This year Messi has reclaimed the top spot but Luis is giving Ronaldo a run for his money

No he isn't. Ronaldo has had a poor season if you listen to some people yet he's still scored 48 goals (just in the league). When Suarez starts posting numbers like that then we can talk. At the moment it's still just Leo and Ronnie on their own.

Who cares about England. Messi also dragged his country to the WC final while Suarez bit his way out. Messi is clearly ahead of everybody. I can see an argument for Suarez over Gaynaldo though.

It's not simply a numbers game, Suarez offers goals and then some. No other player from madrid or barca will have the opportunity to compete with Messi / Ronaldo

No he didn't, that was Mascherano and DiMaria. Messi had an average WC at best

Mascherano was extremely important for Argentina no doubt. Di Maria though? Meh.

I'm not saying Messi had a Maradona like performance but without him they never would have got to the finals. It took two game winning goals from Messi just to get out of the group stages.

It took Di Maria to get them past Switzerland.

Following some great work from Messi and his pass directly to Di Maria setting it up.

It isn't just a numbers game but it's worth remembering Suarez couldn't hit the proverbial barn door with a banjo for the first half of the season before he stepped it up and started banging them in.

That's very like the criticism of Bale, untrue.
He came back from months off and took 4/5 games to really settle down.

Not just the layoff, but fitting into Barca's system naturally was going to take time as well.

I get all that, but it still counts when you evaluate his season as a whole. AT THE MOMENT, you can't put him above Messi or Ronaldo.

Oh, and Bale scored on his Real debut ;)
