REED Would Lean SLIGHTLY Towards Frazier, Because that's All he Really Had...Being More of an Even Handed Puncher, Tyson Didn't RELY on his Left Hook to the Degree Frazier Did... If Frazier Couldn't Hit and HURT You w/his Left Hook, You Could Beat Him...Whereas Tyson had a More VARIED Arsenal of Punches... REED:hammert:
Yep. I get what REED is saying, Frazier was all about the left hook, and it was a beaut. But in a direct comparison, there is absolutely no doubt for me Tyson's left or right hook were significantly faster and harder.
Frazier's hook was unreal because nobody could get away from it... Unless you were George Foreman and could just shove him backwards, you got hit with Frazier's hook. They all knew it was coming, they all trained to try and take it away but he always landed it. Tyson had a great hook as well, but I think his uppercut was his most remarkable punch One thing is for certain, both of these chaps' left hooks were GREAT where as Miguel Cotto's wasn't/isn't
I'd say Tyson, simply based on the incredible velocity his hook carried. I won't argue much with anyone that says Frazier though. But yes, Cdogg is correct. Tyson's number one money punch was without QUESTION his right uppercut. Mike had the best uppercut of all time IMO.

can argue Frazier because he threw and landed it at all times, even round 15 of fights where he took a beating...so it was far more dangerous Tyson's hook makes for a nice bum reel on youtube but so a lot of other front runners
To Be Fair, REED Was Only Saying Frazier's LEFT Hook was Slightly Better than Tyson's Left Hook, Because of how MUCH Frazier Relied Upon It... REED:hammert:
Nothing Hanz says regarding Tyson can be taken seriously. He's a delusional hater. Objectively speaking, Lewis is in the discussion for best uppercut of all time, but I'd still rank Tyson's above. After Tyson and Lewis, you have prime Foreman and Bowe, both those guys also had all time great uppercuts.
