I know I always sound like a Nunn groupie when I say this, but in my opinion there's not too many middleweights in history who I'd pick over the Nunn of the Tate fight. Nunn would turn GGG into a "good boy".
I'm more of a Nunn groupie than anyone on this site, including you. More a Nunn fan than a Mayweather fan, actually. I'd pick Nunn over just about any middleweight in history (pick'em at least). He may even have beaten Roy Jones.
Nunn wouldn't have come close to beating Jones especially at 160. he was a bit of a slapper, could throw wide and wouldn't have handled Roy's speed. He would beat GGG though. He had the height and range to win a decision.
Possibly, but I think he had the best chance of all Middleweights in history to possibly beat a prime Jones...given his movement and awkwardness mixed with elegance.
Roy's speed and more importantly his timing would overwhelm Nunn. Nunn looked fast against guys who weren't fast. Jones is on another planet than Nunn. Nunn was extremely overrated.
Nunn. In all fairness, Triple G isn't really proven. But Nunn's quickness and movement probably get it done.
I could see Jones doing it, I think he is competitive or at least good enough to win rounds off pretty much anyone else though
I was thinking Jones when he wrote that, he'd be the only one capable of it. I still reckon Gennady could win a couple of rounds though.
yeah, I was engaging in a bit of hyperbole there we're talking about a mythical matchup, not if they fought tomorrow
