Two of the greatest LightHeavyweights in history clash at heavyweight.

    What transpires?

    At heavyweight??

Spinks obviously... He carried 200 pounds pretty comfortably

Bob couldn't even get to 190 without it slowing him down dramatically, that's why he did so poorly up there... He simply wasn't meant to weigh that much

At 175 this is a fascinating match... At heavyweight, it's an obvious Spinks victory

Even though Cooney was finished it's still a respectable win for Spinks. If he didn't belong at heavyweight that fight would probably would have proved it. Foster isn't going to bring anything to the table Spinks can't handle.

Not even a fun matchup to discuss at heavyweight. Spinks obviously wins at heavyweight.

It's one of the most interesting matchups of all time at 175.

If I had to pick 5 matchups in history that I'd love to see, Foster vs Spinks at 175 would be in the top 3.

Because of the uncertainty of the outcome, or because you think it would be a very entertaining fight?

Uncertainty of the outcome. I don't think Spinks would want it to be an entertaining fight.

There's exactly ZERO lightheavyweights in history who win a slugfest with Foster.

    Top 3?

You would displace one of the following to see this one?

    Tyson vs Foreman
    Foreman vs Liston
    Frazier vs Holyfield
    Holyfield vs Marciano
    Chavez vs Pryor
    Duran vs Pryor
    Duran vs Pacquiao

Agreed. For me it's kind of like Hagler-Monzon-Hopkins. Every boxing fan would love to see those mythical matchups but I don't think they would have much replay value.

    Yes.

No interest in seeing Duran vs Pac anyway. Duran would have beaten fifteen shades of shit outta Pac.

Yup. Pac would have been no match for Kirkland Lang.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Because the Duran from Montreal and Duran that fought Lang are the same fighter...
