I'll give it a stab. Hector Camacho- Yes he was Puerto Rican and RIP. But never liked his antics. Paul Spadafora- Annoying little shit who lived off his sparring session with Floyd in the gym. Antonio Margarito- True scumbag. Victor Ortiz- No heart, no passion. Just a retarded ass athletic kid. John Ruiz- Boring wrestler. Wlad Klitscko- 6'6 over 230 and fights like a bitch. Adrien Broner- A disgrace to humanity. Amir Khan- Social media warrior who believes his own hype.
Tito, Tszyu, Hamed, and now Broner. Oh yeah, and Plasterito if course, a true scumbag indeed. And yes I'm with you on Broner, he is actually a disgrace to human kind. The funny thing is with Tito, I don't hate him per se, like say Tszyu, who actually makes me feel ill just to look at him, I just find him HORRENDOUSLY overrated.
Johnny Tapia was a true scumbag in real life too. Though he did have a lot of fucked up shit happen to him, he basically kept his wife hostage for years with threats of suicide if she ever left him. Paulie Malignaggi I find to be annoying. Never has a fighter been so FEATHER FISTED and yet talked like he was some killer in the ring. :: Antonio Tarver for his obsession with Roy. The fact that he caught Roy at the end of his prime doesn't elevate him in my eyes. With regards to OVERRATED, Mex... I find Pac overrated as a welter at least due to never beating a great fighter there and always fighting with the deck and SCALES in his favor... Floyd Mayweather at 147 and above is overrated too. Ducked top fighters for YEARS mostly beating over the hill or undersized opponents, or bums. And while Tito, Tszyu, and Hamed may have been overrated in their day, I would argue all three are underrated today, especially by the younger generation.
I also think Vitali gets a lot of unwarranted criticism purely for the fact he has the same surname as his brother
Calzaghe was very good. The hate stems from him never taking risks for the majority of his career and fighting in Wales.
Mayweather is a bit different because I have the utmost respect for his skillset and talent. I normally don't care too much how a fighter behaves outside of the ring as the majority of boxers are wankers anyway, but he has used this whole "Money Mayweather" persona to justify actively avoiding and ducking fighters in their prime. Not cool.
Wales is a beautiful place though, nice hills and shit. He was just doing his bit for the Welsh tourism board.
This is the correct answer.........and if you have a thread the most loved fighters ever he would also be #1....
Hopkins Camacho Jr Haye Audley Roberto Garcia Jr Fernando Vargas Lee Haskins Hamed I could go on but I don't want people to think I am racist.
Yeah, but he was adored in Europe In the US only, I'd agree, definitely the most vilified fighter ever
Oops, I thought it was just a list of our most hated fighters :: Not too sure then about generally hated ones.
Floyd Mayweather became hated around 2005 when he started with his fake ass trash talking to sell tickets.
