Roberto Duran vs Felix Trinidad at 154lbs

  1. Junior-Middleweight, bitches!

I know what MWS will say already, but what do the rest of you say?

Can Trinidad pull a Hearns and knock Duran the fuck out? Can Duran treat Tito the way he treated Davey Moore? Will it go the distance or would it be something in between?

If your name isn't Tommy Hearns you aren't knocking The Duran out, imo; Tito doesn't have anything like the range and 'virtual threat' Hearns possessed. And as i put it once, The Duran would show Tito angles he couldn't workout with a protractor! It's a savage beating, the main question is whether it goes the distance.

  3. What you have here is a classic clash of styles. On one hand you have the swarmer and on the other you have the clinical accurate two-fisted pressure fighter. Tito is the bigger, taller, rangier and more powerful man. Duran has the better defensive skills. Duran was not a mover and boxer though, he went to war. It'll be a war of attrition and I think The Trinidad will take him out late.

The Duran went to war in the same way Kevin Bacon went to war with that naked chick in Hollow man. 'AH!!! I KNOW SOMEBODY'S UP IN MY ANUS BUT WHERE THE FUCK IS HE?'

Assuming we're talking the Duran that beat Cuevas and Moore and it's a very interesting fight. 154 was Tito's best weight though. He was at his quickest, and sharpest at 154 and he was able to start faster at 154 because he wasn't so drained. I think I'd favor Tito by decision in a classic war.

At 147, Duran fucks him up.

If Duran fought a smart fight as he did against Hagler (when he was scared) he might outwork and outland Tito with his craft. However, he wasn't a smart boxer, so instead he would probably go for war where Tito's accuracy and power would be deciding. Tito by decision after a bruising fight

I like Tito at 154 in a close one.

At 147, Duran at his best would definitely beat him.

    P4P Duran is definitely better.

Assuming we're talking both guys at their best i'd take The Duran at any weight up to 160. The The Duran who fought Hagler would clown Tito

WTF is this nonsense about Tito being a pressure fighter? Duran is the pressure fighter, the ultimate pressure fighter. Tito is a patient stalker.

Duran at his trained best clowns Tito at any weight. 2 completely different levels of fighter.

Duran was too stupid to know if it was raining or did he just wet his pants against Hagler

steel wool beard, pits that hadn't been washed in a month, piss soaked trunks - every atom The Duran brought to the ring was a weapon of war.

Duran is slick enough to make Trinidad miss a lot and hit hard enough to keep him honest... If he's in tip-top shape I think he decisions Tito
