I'm not talking about brutal KOs per se, I'm referring specifically to when a fighter has been put to sleep. Rendered unconscious. So Mercer-Morrison doesn't apply, for example. When I say "knocked the fuck out" - I take that description very seriously. To me that means..well...knocked the fuck out! Put to sleep.

My favourites in no particular order are:

    Jackson - Graham
    Pettaway - Brown
    Thunder - Grimsley
    Ruddock - Dokes
    Pacquiao - Hatton
    Marquez - Pacquiao

Which other ones can you add to the list?

    [please don't include fatalities]

    Was Duran actually unconscious?

Just watched it....he wasn't unconscious so it doesn't apply. I take the term KTFO very seriously compadre.

My personal favourite is Pettaway-Brown. Watching Brown continue fighting in his dreams was tremendous.

Does Robinson-Fulmer count? Fulmer staggered up but he didn't come too for about 30 seconds and thought it was between rounds when he did.

Duran wasn't asleep at all, early stoppage, doesn't count.

Pacquiao - Hatton is one of my favourites for sure, Hatton looked like he'd been shot.

Since Mex has entered the thread, I'd like to mention Trinidad-Zulu as being a good example.

Hamed put him to sleep too.

I'd add Lewis Rahman. Rahman lying semi unconcious with his head inside's King's crown was a great thing to see.

While a great ko, Rahman wasn't sleeping so it's a bad call for this topic.

Roy Jones - Glen Jonhson was pretty shocking.

Watching Herol Graham literally fall down in the corner of the ring, out before he landed, still ranks as one of boxing's most shuddering KO's. Jesus fuck was that boy laid out.

That was some serious partisan commentary:

"OH NO....that's what we were afraid of!!"

I love seeing guys put to sleep, as long as there's no permanent damage of course. I like a "lights out" knockout.

Often they do less damage than sometimes even a tough, hard fought win.
