I saw this posted as question to a Ring magazine columnist. He thought Olson would outwork and steamroll Toney. I'm not so sure. Olson was tough as nails but he he had a leaky defense and Robinson and Archie Moore were able to use speed and timing to counter him repeatedly and stop him. Toney isn't on that level but a guy like Olson plays into Toney's strengths. Does Olson work his way to victory or does Toney's skill and counterpunching win the day?
I'd favor Toney by clear cut decision for sure but on a bad night, Bobo could certainly force a pace he couldn't handle and win a decision
Toney Wins EASILY, 7 Out of 10 Times...2 of 10 Toney has to Grit it Out, as He did the Jirov Bout and 1 of 10 Olson Out Hustles a Complacent Toney, ala the Tiberi Fight... REED
A Jirov type fight was on my mind as well. I could see Olson's pace and strength winning him rounds but Toney's hard counters would take a toll on him. I think Toney seals the deal with a couple of knockdowns down the stretch.
