.... you're just not paying attention.

Edgar went on to suggest that McGregor is being protected by the UFC, as well as claiming that he’d be willing to fight the Dubliner as soon as tomorrow and that he’ll finish him when the time comes — whether the fight takes place at Croke Park or “on the moon”.

I am glad to see Frankie making some noise. If Aldo stalls any longer, I hope the UFC does the right thing and lets the LW and FW king fight McGregor.

While I agree with Edgar, the UFC wins this argument. They just let Conor fight Mendes on short notice. It's hard to accuse them of being afraid to match him up with Edgar after they did that. Aldo is the fight to be made now. Let Edgar fight another toppish contender. Let Edgar or that other guy get the winner of Conor vs Aldo.

I think the point is "IF" Aldo stalls and doesn't agree to fight immediately.

That being said, I think it's moot because Conor is going to be locked up during TUF so it's not like he could fight in the interim anyway.

I would absolutely love the UFC if they replaced Faber with Edgar to coach opposite McGregor with a fight at the end.

Edgar is a good TUF coach too.

I like Edgar. Seems silly that the next TUF is not Edgar Vs Greggles.

Why put Greggles against Mini Dudebro, who has no chance against him at all and looks 2 divisions smaller?

McGregor has earned a title shot. If Aldo pulls out again, they should give McGregor the real belt and have him fight Edgar for his first title defense.

I read somewhere that they wanted to schedule Aldo / McGregor for January 2nd. They should give Frankie another fight in the mean time unless he wants to sit out for almost a year.

That makes sense. Aldo/McGregor is on par with their New Years cards' main events.

I like Edgar. The little grease ball is a scrapper. Having said that it's clear, just like someone told Conor to work on his takedown defense, they told Edgar to work on his personality. He is starting to understand how business works in 2015.

The UFC wants to get everything they can get out of McGregor before they feed him to Edgar. They know that Edgar can and probably will beat Conor...unless they judges fuck him like they've done so many times before....so they want to make sure they get the Aldo fight in, and maybe another, before giving Edgar the shot he deserves.

It'll Be VERY Interesting to See What Happens when McGregor Lands a CLEAN Shot...Edgar's Shown he Can Be HURT & McGregor Seems to have VERY Good MMA Punching Power...

I think Edgar will be is toughest test, but i am not sure Edgar wins. Once this fight is made i will look at it more, so who really knows.

    THIS...

Like Mendes, Edgar Will Look like a Middle School Kid Next to McGregor...And if McGregor's POWER & ACCURACY Stay Consistent, he's GOING to Hit and Hurt Edgar...

I actually think The Irishman is right. Edgar and Mendes should drop a weight class. They seem really tiny.

Edgar has been banged up pretty badly in the first rounds of each Maynard fight. He definitely can't have a bad start like this against Conor.

If REED Isn't Mistaken, 1 of those Bouts COULD Have Been Stopped in the 1st Round, Right???...

REED Recalls Edgar Taking a HEINOUS 1st Round Asswhipping...

But Yeah, w/the Way McGregor Hits, Edgar has to Be VERY Careful...

I'll bet my lunch money that McGregor's next fight is against Uriah Faber. I have zero doubt that the UFC will try to highlight the Faber-McGregor beef during the TUF season to the point that they have to fight at the end. They've already had the backstage scuffle and another during initial taping of TUF thrown out for public consumption.

Edgar barely got touched in the first Maynard fight. Maynard basically laid on him for 3 rounds.

Plus, Faber's a "Name" w/Little to NO Chance of Beating McGregor...

The Question Is, What Will Jose Aldo Be Doing in the Interim & When will He and Conor Finally Meet???...It's Almost Like Aldo's Being Phased Out & he's FINE w/It...

    Strange....

    That's exactly why I see McGregor-Faber happening.

Aldo is too quiet for a guy that really wants to fight McGregor.

I have zero interest in seeing Faber fight McGregor.

In fact, I have zero interest in seeing Faber fight anybody. And after being dominated by Edgar...if they give him a shot before Edgar? That would be fucked up in so many ways.

No doubt. I think Faber should retire, he's nowhere near a top fighter anymore.

McGregor-Faber is SMART Business on Behalf of UFC Brass...

Whether Faber's "Deserving" or Not (He ISN'T), Him vs. McGregor is a High Profile, PPV Bout...

A Large # of MMA Fans Gravitated to the Sport Out of Frustration w/"How Boxing is Run", Nonetheless, as MANY Boxing Fans Predicted from MMA's Inception, that Sport Would EVENTUALLY Follow Suit, in Terms of MILKING Opportunities and Granting Title Shots to LESS than Deserving Foes...

It was Only a Matter of Time....
